lol basically the whole emo culture is about this subject
So? Does that mean the members of emo culture are the only ones allowed to think about it?
As it was already said, there were suicides long before the emo culture existed, relating the subject to them now just because they are a more notorious group is just immature.

+1.
As said before, everybody has thought about it at least once.
I mean,
Topps, Neats, Freaks, Goths, Slappers, Geeks, Asbo's, Chavs and even slackers, have thought about suicide.
I believe that a lot of people have thougth about as a way to get rid of things, and troubles.
Yes, the most Stupid things come by when people actually commit it, but I mean..
Money problems, family problems, serious problems also come by with suicide committers.
Yet, you only hear baout the suicides commited by 13 year old girls, who belong to the big 'Emo' thing, or Japanese High Schoolers, who couldn't live up to the standards (read it once, I found it pretty fascinating that there is such a high Suicide rate in Japan, mostly by highschoolers who weren't smart, or athletic, or anything in that direction, and just cut their wrists in like.. School toilets, or even really really open things, like an open toilet at the Subway..)Suicide is something people find stupid, yes. But some times the reasons for it are well thought. Yet, people'are (they find them selves) too weak, but I call it strength, to get over it and get on with their lives.
Death has fascinated humanity for ages, people made specials about death, and people wonder what is on the other side. Paradise? A big cave with boiling lava and pure darkness? A high place in the clouds, with a big gold gate where you can enter and everybody has wings?
Yes, there sure have been almost-death experiences, and people discribe it seriously as a big tunnel with white light at the end.
What if that light would just bring you to a well litted crossroad, with only more paths to choose from. Or will there be someone who waits for you to take you in the right direction? Will you meet God, or the Devil? Do they even excist? Is there even an after life?
Nobody knows.
People may have been reincarnated, but they don't remember it. So does that even excist?
You don't know. Maybe you'll only know when you experience it yourself. But maybe...
Maybe death is just like a sleep. Because no one actually knows on what time exactly they fell asleep, so you won't even notice you're dead...

no, u can think what u want, but mr bow is right this is an emo topic. How can this have nothing to do with emo, it is emo. Like saying whats 50x2=?, and saying this question has nothing to do with math.

A square is a rectangle but a rectangle is not a square.

C'mon, (if you're in highschool) look around you, and you will see Cheerleaders, Geeks, Jocks, Emo's, Alto's, Goths, First Years, Chavs and Posh Totties, and at least 8/10th of all of the people around you have thought about Suicide once or twice.
And don't just focus on the Goths and Emo's, but also look at the Cheerleaders and Jocks, and also the Geeks and Nerds.
Everybody must have a reason why he/she would want to do it.
Geeks/Nerds, because they're picked on by the Jocks and Cheerleaders. Jocks because they got dumped once by a Cheerleader. Cheerleaders because they once got dumped by a Jock.
And I know just as good as all of you "This thread is Emo", "You guys are Farking emo's" have also thought about it.

No, you see. This topic discusses whether one has thought of suicide. Thought can have two meanings: 1]Suicidal Thoughts (i.e.) Grimjaw and Xemnas or Philosophical Thoughts (i.e.) IceCrash and Xemnas. Disregarding the Philosophy inherent in this discussion and calling it emotional is quite, irresponsible. Generalizations will never take one far. Good day.
Discussions about nothing and non-existence is Philosophy, my friend. Sharing your hardships on the internet is not 'emo', that word has been twisted and misused to the point that anyone that shows the slightest bit of emotional appeal is 'emo'. There is a fine line between being 'emo' and being human. Are not emotions part of our biology? Is not thought part of our inter workings? 'Emo' is nothing more than a label, a disgusting label brought upon us day in and day out. Enough! If being human translates to being emo, THEN SO BE IT!
Once again, Good day.

yes then so be it, and stop complaining that it is not emo. Yes emo is being misused, every human behaves emo once in awhile. Still doesnt change the fact that this thread is sstill emo.

you ppl are really annoying sometimes. I feel like im stuck in the HS class where they mixed the dumb kids in with the smart ones and nothing gets done because the dumb ppl band together and cause a needless, baseless, and pointless, and ignorant disturbance.

Exactly. This topic can be labeled emo.
Refusal to believe until proof is given is a rational position; denial of all outside of our own limited experience is absurd.

Sorry to tell ya but it's more about me than thee. (poor image choice, was the first pic of old male I could grab)

Although traditionally suicide rates have been highest among the male elderly, rates among young people have been increasing to such an extent that they are now the group at highest risk in a third of countries, in both developed and developing countries.
I don't consider myself elderly (who does?), but still, the point is the point. It's okay, you're young, your brains are still developing, but isn't it a wee bit arrogant to think that a topic about suicide is 'emo'?
-Grandpa (see spoiker in sig please, Granps has new eggs)
Well, maybe you can connect the rising rate of teen suicides with the rising popularity of "emo" culture. To say there's no connection would be straight up denying the truth.

Wow. Well I smell fake all over you. I get the feeling of an immature 10 year old trying to look wise and masking his horrible grammar. That or English isn't your first language ^ ^

Don't bother with these neurotypicals, all you're words fall on deaf ears. They take pride in their ignorance and embrace it as if it were a trumph card.
The sad thing is they don't see it as a good discussion or a nice debate, but merely as a 'Us versus them' spectacle. That pains me the most but that also proves something at the same time.
The very fact that there is so much opposition regarding these topics,is a good thing in itself,it means that it's working.
Afterall: 'An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind'
Now imagine if some people were meant to be blind, and some people were able to see beyond the darkness into the light. That would explain these 'clashes'
I don't really feel the need to teach people how the concept of seeing the bigger picture works. Those that willingly turn a blind eye cannot expect to be able to comprehend..
You can't blame them for anything but their chosen stupidity and denial.
Even if it does tend to closely resemble drivel over time.
