Downloadlimit :/

So, I live in Belgium.
And they have a thing here called downloadlimit.( Dont know if its also in other country's)
My limit is 20 GB each month.
If you pass that amount, you will have an internet speed of a few kb/s.
Most of the times we survived without passing them. But sometimes we did pass it.
And because im the most on the computer, they always blame me.
I told my dad many times before that 20 GB is so not enough.(It was even 12 GB before that :/)
There is a chance of getting 60 Gb each month, with only 20 euros more. ANd im willing to pay those 20 euros.

Now, I decided to tell it to my dad, so i checked whats the status now. And apparently, im screwed. We have 1.3 Gb left for the next 19 days, which is soo not enough.

Whats youre opinion about this? Can you live with 20Gb each month?

I use 20Gig a day .. damn I only used to have a limit of 10Gig a month on 56k modem .. and still hit every time. Move to holland and get unlimited ;p

what r u talking bout? at morocco you download even 1tera in a month and they dont tell u a shit there no downloadlimit at morocco ^^

I got unlimited i think. I download over 100gb per month but have never gotten a complaint from the internet company

I'm Belgian aswell and since u have 20 Gb now and used to have 12Gb, i suppose you have Telenet Expressnet..right?

I had the same and we just upgraded to Expressnet XL (Part of their Goldshake).
I'm at 30 Gb/month now and we pay the same or a little less then back at that 20Gb you have now. It does cost 50 euros to make the change though..

How do you even know how much you use? For me, it'd be 1GB a month probably, with the exeption of every few months I download a game.

dude stop crying, i have the same problem in Canada and i'm doing just fine on 20gb, before i had 2gb *_*.srsly though, what are you downloading?

Sro uses only a few mb, that's been tested by someone on SRF. Vent/TS and CoD4 shouldn't be using much either. So unless everyone download's a few games each month, every new movie there is and all the new songs I doubt you get over 20gig lol >.>

um im lost and i dont get it u have a limit to much gb of porn u can download wow um never heard of something like this in u.s.

u can download as much as u can as long as u pay internet+light bill+working comp+large hard drive your good

Trust me, you use a lot more then you realise. My house, 2 computers, we use maybe 8GB a month in just browsing the usual websites we visit. (forums and comics for me, dunno what the adults look at...)
Then take more on top of that for Youtube. Random interest. Random Wikipedia surfing.

We have 20GB per month here, and we don't use it, even with Windows updates/game patches/downloads/Vent etc etc and our uploads even come out of our quota. Dunno what you guys are doing.

Hardrives don't work like that lol. Downloading 20 Gig's does not always equal 20 gig's on your hardrive -.-

20 Gig's a month is EASY to pass.

New games + old = 15GB a month.
Streaming movies / series = 10GB a month.
Downloading albums = 2GB a month.
Streaming radio stations = 500MB a month.
Browsing randomly = 5GB a month.
Random update margin = 5GB a month ( Windows / games / misc )

Heroes + Prison Break + House + South Park + Family guy = 1,4GB x 4 = 5,6GB
like 15 movies a month = 11 GB
just playing games , watch vids on youtube, just surf the internet, internet radio = 3 GB
