Does anybody here use a fan speed monitoring/changing program? I've recently heard about speedfan and was thinking about getting it, but is it worth getting?
I was gonna get it just to up my fan rpms by like 5 or 10% to keep my computer cooled down because sometimes it gets hotter than Farking lava.
Anyways, anybody use these programs and know which are good or what's the point to them? Also, are there any unwanted side effects, like I'm pretty sure turning up my fan speed is gonna add to the electrical usage, but probably not that much, but does it like also increase dust intake and stuff?
So, what are your opinions, which should I get, is it worth even getting, or what? Thanks.
[EDIT:]
Oh yeah, assuming I wanted to permanantly increase my fan speed by 10%, does that mean every time I start up my computer, I have to start up speedfan and make the change manually, or are you able to make it so that the new default fan speed is faster than normal? If that makes sense, and thanks again.
