So, I just like watched Saw II, and people always say that Saw movies are really good, especially the 2nd one. But I thought it was shit. Complete waste of my time.

By the way, if anyone has any horror movies (preferably in Jap) recommend me some!

You NEEED to watch them in order from 1-5 to understand them. Or else it's like LotR.

Saw series is actually a very well thought out series .. assuming you take the time to get t know the films in order. I sadly made the mistake of going 1->4->2->5->3.

Didn't understand anything, so had to rewatch them in order .. and now it's all clear : D

I thought they were pretty good, with twists and stuff, that was upto the second one anyway, I thought it got kinda repetitious though lol.

Still a good scary movie of course.

Meh, they are entertaining i guess, but they soon get predictable and repetitive. I think the first one was the best out of all of em.

Saw 2 sucks compared to the other parts.

It's still good, but saw 1, 3 and 4 are way better imho.

And ye you absolutely have to watch them in order.

I agree, to me, gore isn't scary, it's gross. I like to be scared not grossed out. Japanese and even alot of Korean, Chinese horror movies are great. There is an Asian horror movie channel on Comcast on Demand, I forget what it's called but it's all really good stuff like the Ring, the Grudge type kinda stuff. Maybe some things a bit more gorey but not overkill Saw style. I'll post again later when I find out lol If you want.

I saw Saw I, I think it was overrated, but good nonetheless.

I don't think it was a scary movie though, more a mystery/suspense film.

You start out having no idea what's going on, then you follow these guys solving the mystery of what's going on, and you think you have it all figured out while a twist of fate is thrown in and cops are trying to solve the case, and then at the very end the biggest twist comes in and it ends essentially.

It was good.

Gorefests usually have little to no story line and overall suck..Saw has a great in depth story line that goes from the 1st to the 5th movie.

SAW V gets a rating of 1/10 from me. Watching something good like The Dark Knight.

Audition (Korean I think but gorey..)
Reincarnation (Japanese, extremely good)
One Missed Call (Japanese Ver, very good)

You can go to this site ( http://www.asian-horror-movies.com/ ) and look up more and there are always torrents for the rest. Hope that helps ^^

they're not worth watching. Don't watch them. Its a waste of your time. You want the story. Guy sets traps on ppl cause he wants to teach them lessons but then he dies at the end or he's still a alive or he's got 8 copy cats or some other form of BS twist. Its like M. Night wrote this crap everything is shock and gore value even plot itself so if you have half a braincell you'll be able to see the plot twist coming a mile away and just get angry that you sat through an hour and half of watching ppl act completely f*cking retarded and making every bad decision possible.

it actually all starts cause his wife has a miscarrige because of a drug addict and then he starts torchering people to death by kidnapping them and setting traps. he had 1 person working with him (she survived her trap :D ) and 1 copycat (a policeman) who ended up working with him. and when hes dead.. hes dead.. people just get confused because number 5 shows him as alive when really its just the good cop figuring things out :D

in defence of the series i didnt actually pick up on half the things that were coming and im usually ace at doing that

annnnd i was really disapointed that number 5 ended the way it did.

You didn't see the twists in the first ones coming though, did you? The twists that is, you could predict what would happen next sometimes.

But in the end, I don't think anybody knew the killer was the guy on the floor.

@someone else
It's not hollywood bs (at least the first), it was an independent film I believe. But now it is hollywood bs so whatever.
