I just got them on yesterday. Has anybody else had or still have them?

I'm in need of braces, though I don't really want to get them. But I have been thinking of getting Invisalign as alternatives (I hear they hurt less/don't hurt at all?).

They hurt for like the first day, then you get used to it. Its just irritating when you want to eat something, you'll have to take it out (which could hurt like a bitch) then put them back on when you're finished. But yeah, I would assume it doesn't hurt as much as conventional braces (my friend said he could hardly eat bread in the first few days)

I have one as a braces follow up, although I don't wear it until the night before I have a checkup at the orthodontist. Hurts like a bitch then.

I've had standard braces, and they weren't all that bad. Yeah it makes your teeth sore when they are adjusted, but you get used to it. Your friend is either lying or just has a very low pain tolerance.

Really? They just gave me a top retainer and left a permanent retainer on the bottom which is a pain to floss. I've heard of a couple of flossable designs, but I don't know how reliable they are. I'd rather just have a standard retainer on bottom to be honest.

My sister was too vain to want to wear regular braces, so she got these. She's been through everything though. From regular braces, to hardcore headgear, to retainers, to now these Invisalign. From what she says...Invisalign are the easiest/most comfortable.

They put retaining wires on the front 6 teeth on the top and bottom and then the Invisalign to wear at night.
