If you read the full article you might have noticed this:

"Mattos said Douglas had been placed on paid suspension in mid-March, after an investigation into a separate parental concern regarding Douglas uncovered material that led Mattos to call police."

Sounds to me like someone's parents reported inappropriate behavior and they had already suspended him from the school due to the nature of the allegations. Charges of molestation may come out when they complete that earlier investigation.

i dont remember what i had in his class lol, but he was my home room teacher as well, and i had him his first year teaching at the school, like 6 years ago i think, so yeah kinda concerning >_>

In my view it's socially unacceptable. The second opinion though is: Since he has(is) not hurt(ing) anyone I won't rage over the guy's sick habit. When he acts on his fetish heads will likely roll, but (afaik) he hasn't violated anyone yet. I like to look at the bottle as half-full. He watched child porn, and was caught before he hurt someone (afaik). Good situation, imo.
