So last night I went out and let's just say consumed more than the recommended level of alcohol. I jump a cab home and pass out with my windows open. This morning I wake up at 6 AM to the loudest noises ever; the grounds crew of my apartment has decided to cut the grass, at 6 AM. Thanks guys! Who cuts the grass at 6 AM, seriously? We're in Milwaukee; it's springtime. It's not going to get hot today. I understand you have work to do, but maybe think a little more of the time you start?

A very unpleasant morning, but I just needed to vent.

Municipality workers, right? They dont care if there is someone who has a hang over or something. They also have a day infront of them so they will do their work as early as possible.

But yes, it's really annoying to wake up the day after you have drinked by a lawnmover.

"Hey guys I was up late last night partying, drinking alcohol and what not. So I was wondering if you could hold off on cutting the grass right now. I know I know you've got 25 other yards to cut today, and I'm messing up your schedule. But if you could come back in hmm....5 hours? That'd be great. Thanks"

It's not a company that does it; it's just the maintenance guy that only does this complex.

Edit: When I look back I did say grounds crew, but I meant that it was just the guy that does the maintenance on the grounds.

Your probably one of those people that wines when rudely waken up. But when they don't do the work, and the grass gets fucking long, you'll be the first to call them wining about that too.

It's an apartment; I don't care if the grass doesn't look like a 4 star golf course. As long as I can walk through it to get to the pool when it opens on the 25th and the clubhouse without it seeming like an Indiana Jones adventure I'm fine with it.

I had the same, i was at a house party last night and i woke up at 5am and decided to have a wee smoke outside. Well it went ok till i drifted off and fell over the fence and cut both my hands open.

So i spend all morning having my girlfriend pick stones out of my hands.

Had a bunch of friends drive down and stay at my place this weekend. We stayed up rather late and had quite a bit to drink and the crew that cuts my lawn (included service with house rent) showed up at 8am to cut the grass Saturday.. had 5 people sleeping on the floor in my living room.. didn't disturb any of them.

No one complained, but funny that it was the same sort of situation. :P

They ALWAYS show up early in the morning when I want/can sleep late. Or in the afternoon when I try to take a nap.. Doesn't bother me, I'm just glad it gets cut. I usually get a laugh out of it though, they time it perfectly.

Bleh, I actually LIKE being woken up. Especially if I have plenty of time left to sleep after being woken up. I wake up..feel relieved I can sleep more.. and fall right back to sleep. I purposely set my alarm to go off an hour before I need to get up so I can wake up then go back to sleep for an hour..

Im weird like that.. :P

I'm just glad Mowers, Chainsaws, Power tools are banned from use before 8am. I know 8am isn't much of a sleep in, but it's better than 6am

rofl alcohol + waking up early cause of noise sounds baaad
I usually have a problem with that, especially in summer when I sleep with my windows open and (erm my english fails me but theres a big car coming to pick the trash), when those guys come the sound is so terrible it wakes me up every single time. And they come every 2 days or so.. I cant imagine hearing that after a night of drunkness =/.

But I dotn know how cutting grass sounds like though. No grass here xD

close windows next time
