Been following this on Danny Choo, well Sept 11th when they reported he was missing, then Sept 19th when they said they found a body. It's a shame, Shin-chan is such a great show. Mom also loves it.
Friends have been talking about but I didn't believe them until I read an article on it the other day. Should probably hold hands and do the "ass dance" in his memory.
He would have wanted it that way. This ones for you big guy! *sob*
...but in all seriousness. It really is a shame but atleast he was able to leave behind a mark with one of (I think and most who've seen it will agree) funniest cartoons ever.
btw, if you've only watched the shin-chan that came on adultswim than you haven't enjoyed the original. an almost completely different script was written for the one on adultswim.

the original contains alot of jokes that only japanese people would get kinda like Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo..not saying saying its not funny but if they tried a direct translation it probably wouldn't have been as accessible. Kinda like how South Park and The Simpsons are intensely popular over here but alot of Japanese people don't get the humor. I think as far as translations and dubs Shin was easily one of the best and even if it doesn't contain the exact words of the original it certainly retains its spirit and that cannot be said for alot of Anime that goes through the same treatment...see Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo the Dub...

Was gonna say that too but more blunt and less intelligent sounding. I think they did the same to Lupan the III on Adult Swim as well.
