Well, second Win for Germany after 28 years. Last time we won was with Nicole "Ein bisschen Frieden" in 1982 and we did participate every year. It's strange we won lol....

Yeah, country with highest authority and population wins.
You aren't allowed to vote on your own country. It's the country with most neighbours that wins.
So that's how it is. I never took big interest in Eurovision, because my country rarely passes semifinals, and even if it does, it's usually in bottom 5. My homeland is small- we only get points from our emmigrants in UK or Ireland.

I guess Germany learned their lesson with all those cowboy songs the past few years but still this sucks, is this the best Europe has to offer? A duck with 3 different accents of English wins the competition, nice :/

In Eurovision, a song doesn't win but a country wins. Songs don't affect the contest much. I hate the system of it. Especially that big countries get to final automatically.

You make a good point actually. I'ma discuss with my friends and I'll see what they think about this. I don't really have a word in it cause I know English more than Turkish myself ^^

She looks nothing like a TV program.
Looks nothing like Miranda Cosgrove either.
I liked Turkey's song, and I think it was unfair that germany won when that song had been #1 in several counties and has over 15 million views on you tube.

As one of the Estonian commentators said there should be a system where people(at least judges) don't know which song which country has made. But then the countries singing in their own language won't be good for this system.
