Takeshi Shodu had collapsed at a train station in Nara City and had to be rushed to the hospital. Unfortunately he was pronounced dead soon after he reached the hospital and the cause of his death was subarchnoid hemorrhage.

Takeshi Shodu was the creator of the original Pokemon anime series and he also wrote the first three Pokemon movies in addition to various novels, based on the series. Even though not widely recognized for the series, but Takeshi Shodu had also written ‘The Magical Princess of Minky Momo’.

Takeshi Shodu will be greatly missed, but his legacy will surely continue in the form of Pokemon.
