Well I downloaded the torrent installer for Darkeden. It wants to download the actual Darkeden client to C:\Downloads, but C: does not exist on my system. My XP installation is on L: for some reason, and C: is actually mounted to my card reader....

Is there a way I can get the torrent installer to download the full client to L:? Or another drive? Maybe a direct link to the actual client, not the .torrent...

just change the path of where you want it to be saved through your torrent program.

utorrent will allow you to do it very easily
edit; or are you trying to install it? (think i read your post wrong)

What I have is the "DarkedenInstaller_1015_downloader.exe" file.

I tried the file again, and I ended up having to cancel it and tell utorrent to download it to another location. What confused me at first, was when I ran the downloader.exe file, it said it would save to C:\Downloads by default, and it started the download automatically (failed because there is no real media present).

So I changed the download location in utorrent, and told it to "force recheck" and now it's downloading :)

Edit: It appears my router is blocking incoming connections into utorrent. I had the issue before, and I set up port forwarding on the port that utorrent wanted (I can't remember the port). But now it's complaining again that it can't accept peer connections, but the download itself seems to be working. There is a yellow exclamation icon at the bottom of the utorrent window. When I click it, Option number 2 lists some high number port as the "current port". This is different from before, so I'm guessing I'd have to reconfigure the router every time?

Can't remember my router password... So I guess I'll have to reset it and reconfigure all my router settings.
