Philosopher, made predictions so general that they can be applied to a wide, wide range of things. Including the supposed apocalypse in 2012.

You must be talking about all of the other philosophers. Most of Nostradamus' predictions hit the nail on the head. It's not like he's saying "A lion will scare the crow in a new world", and someone applies that to the Third Reich. For example, his prediction of the Third Reich I mentioned and the Nazi regime, he goes into pretty good detail mentioning Germany and a new leader who seduces with his tongue.... I'd have to look up the actual prediction.

Of course, there will always be nay-sayers on just about everything. The fact is, you can take some of his predictions and apply it to alot of things because the interpretation could be applied in several different ways, maybe because the said event hasn't taken place or maybe he just "predicted" wrong. But on the other hand, a lot of his readings were very descriptive and actually happened.

Third Reich

From the deepest part of Western Europe
A young child will be born to poor people
Who will by his speech seduce a great multitude,
His reputation will increase in the Kingdom of the East

Beasts ferocious with hunger will cross the rivers,
The greater part of the battlefield will be against Hister.
Into a cage of iron will the great one be drawn,
When the child of Germany observes nothing.

In the year very not far from Venus,
The two greatest ones of Asia and of Africa:
They are said to have come from the Rhine and from
Hister Cries, tears at Malta and the Ligurian sea-coast.

Liberty will not be regained,
It will be occupied by a black, proud, villainous and unjust man:
When the matter of the Pontiff is opened,
The republic of Venice will be vexed by Hister.

The shocking and infamous armed one will fear the great furnace,
First the chosen one, the captives not returning
The world’s lowest crime, the Angry Female Irale - Israel - not at ease,
Barb, Hister, Malta, and the Empty One does not return.

-------------------

Princess Diana's Death

The last son of the man with the Prophet’s name
Will bring Diana to her day of rest.
At a distance they wander in frenetic grief
Delivering a great people from ruin.’

The father of Dodi al-Fayed, the owner of Harrod’s department store, is named
Mohammed, the name of the Islamic Prophet (the man with the prophet's name. ) He is with her until her day of death (day of rest.)

When you realize that the name "Hister" applies to the lower danube river and not a misspelling of "Hitler," it makes even more sense. This fact has even been admitted by Nostradameans like Stewart Robb who states "Hister is an old, old name for the Danube, old even when Nostradamus resuscitated it for some good reason of his own."

Clearly he's using the term "Hister" to refer to a geographical region and not a person as in nearly all contexts it is coupled with another geographical region:

"...from the Rhine and Hister..."

"...venice shall be vexed by Hister..."

"...Hister, Malta...

But if anyone who believes this stuff wants to give me all their stuff in, say, late 2011, I'll be happy to take it.

Lol yeah, well hes 50/50 to be honest. All his claims are very very generic.
All tho his 'visions' of automobiles and planes are quite .. er .. 'extra-ordinary' ?

thats putting it mildly, he only got 13% of his stuff right...i mean he said that
right now the world would be at war with the Spanish turks  ... lol only
reason that hes so hyped is because people believe in what he has to say
and dont stop to think that its bullshit.

That's the problem, people think that because some of his visions were wrong that the rest is bullshit too. Nobody is saying that everything he predicts is true or will be. But the fact is, he's nailed things that happened 500 years after his time.

Isn't this the guy who totally got Japanese people into believing that the world will end on 1999 July something?

I kind of believed it when I was small but I was a stupid kid back then. Before I realize that day had gone passed.

Well, in like 2000 about 10,000 Americans suicided cause of him. Pretty funny he's an ancient vermin exterminator tbh.

But yeah, I think his current predictions were somewhere along the lines of:

A young prince will arise from the middle east ~~
Wheather storms in France/Italy envoke huge Chaos ~~
And Russia/China make a new super bomb.

That last one is pretty well spot on tbh, seeing as for the last few months Russia has been testing it's Vacuum bomb. Oh and yeah it's not 2012 :P It's 2011 October 8th.
