When i get bored i surf Wikipedia and somehow it led me to this graphic Novel. I had the wonderful opportunity to miss my bus on my way to school so i got to stop at a bookstore to kill time. I picked up and read the first chapter of the first book and so far i liked it. Anyone ever heard of it b4 and is it worth buying to keep reading ($20 a novel is expensive)

Neil Gaiman is a good author, from what I have heard. And books keep your mind sharp long after your body may submit to old age.
It's also been shown that reading, doing puzzles, exercising your brain, etc, can increase your IQ slightly.

I never identified with the pubescent angst of Sandman. In fact, I can't get into any of Neil Gaiman's writing. But I love Sam Kieth. Charles Vess did some later issues, I guess, but I never read them.
I enjoyed the two Witchcraft spinoffs, but Kaluta is my god so, ya know, w/e.

I love everything I've read from Gaiman. Go for it!
edit: Sandman too, of course.

I also should have mentioned to check out Sandman Mystery Theater by Matt Wagner. The character is the original Sandman, not Gaiman's incarnation. Matt Wagner is one of the best comic writers around.

I'm not a kid, last time I actually sat down and read a book was in high school. So reading books is still for squares.
