How do you manually patch something

I'm so used to stuff just auto d/ling then auto patching, now i have to manually patch stuff and i have no idea where to start.

extract it to desktop or int to folder. Or just put them all in therespecified folders.

just dont patch OR ask to some thats better than u with pc to make it*_*
