Well, after a long time downloading I finally got it, and to be honest with you, the game rules, much better than Oblivion in my opinion (Ehy, that rhymes!). What I find odd is the fighting system but the storyline is just so awesome and sticks to the books saga as it should.
What I don't like is the fact it takes ages to load and that you need to download so many patches.

:)

A friend recommended it to me but i havnt bought it yet. Havnt bougth any games since november because of college work so now im buying all the games ive missed since then... lol

Anywho, my friend usually has a good taste in games, he got me into a few games, including WoW. so im guessing it probably is a good game. gonna be a few weeks before i get it though.

Ya, it's a really good rpg. Good story, good gameplay, intricate menu/options, good looking, great atmosphere. Things I don't like are the load times, repeating character models, combat isn't always responsive. The game is so long that at the end of the third act I stopped playing because I wanted something different. Still haven't played anymore, need to finish it. Imo it's a must have for deep/hardcore rpg players.

Don't forget the sex.

I saw some videos of it but it looked very linear, nothing like Oblivion at all.

It's somewhat linear for the story's sake, it's a "based on" game after all. However, during the story you need to make choices that affect things like political position, friends that help you one way or another, etc (sex scenes are just a generic video at the background and a card with the picture of a partially nude girl, and man... you can have sex with almost every girl you see).

In my case, this has turned in one of my favorite RPGs, top 5 :P If only the inventory wasn't so small i would have done more alchemy.

If you start the game, you better finish it, the ending is really cool.

Nice job Moogie. That medallion is very nice. Love the look of the The Witcher 'symbol.'
