Just a little story I threw together today. Tell me what you guys think about it,

and I'll do what I can to improve. By the way there will be a total of 30+ Parts.

Guardian

[Part One]

It was around lunch time, and the mall in New Jersey was packed to the limit. There were people squeezing through, shoulder-to-shoulder.

It was so packed that I, and my girlfriend struggled to get through. Suddenly I stopped and hesitated, observing the crowd among me.

Everything seemed to be traveling in slow-motion where you could describe everyone's hair texture, style, and what clothes they wore.

I then turned slowly and started to walk over to subway. When suddenly someone or something ran into me and fell. Alli kept walking

but I stopped to look down and see who it was, I saw the most beautiful eyes set upon me, I kindly reached out my hand out in

front of her and held it there. She nervously glanced at my hand then back at me, then she gently placed her hand on mine, and I pulled

her up to her feet. I asked here if she was alright, she smiled abit and just as she was about to say something, Alli tugged me back into

the crowd until I lost sight of her. When we reached the Subway restaurant, she asked me what that was all about.

To be truthful, I really don't feel comfortable when she has to be a stuck-up b**** about everything I do. So I replied

"Oh it was nothing."

"Are you sure?" she said. "Yeah." I responded.

After lunch, and after the crowd died down, we walked about some more and again I saw her, about sixteen feet in front of us.

She quietly walked over to me and Alli. But she saw this happening and stepped aside with her arms crossed. She looked at Alli and frowned.

Then she looked at me and her frown immediately went to a faint smile. She calmly said hey to me, which echoed in my head. I said hello back.

She started fiddling with her hair, her straight long, dark brown hair with multi-colored tips on the edge of her hair and she asked.

"Can I speak with you for a minute?"

I looked at her then at Alli, who was impatiently waiting and tapping her foot on the mall's cold gray tile floor. I then looked back at her, and said sure.

Then Alli smeared and said "Jay, you're a ****." and she stomped off. She and I looked at eachother, then we watched Alli as she stomped off.

Meanwhile we walked around not saying a thing. But she was always glancing at me in the corner of her eye.

"So...what's you're name, or what do your friend call you?" I spoke out. She turned to me and said "The names Delilah, but you can call me Layluh."

"Layluh..that's such a lovely name." I said. She giggle and said thank you. When we came across a bench a sat down, she sat next to me and said.

"I just want to tell you, that I'm thankful for you helping me up back there." I replied. "Hey, it's what I do."

[Start of Part 2]

She smiled again, then she quietly titled her head down and quietly spoke. "Hey...who's that girl that you were with earlier?"

I tensed up alittle and quickly turned to her while calmly placing my hand over hers. Her head jerked up quickly to my face, her lip quivered as I talked.

"She's my girlfriend, or was my girlfriend. Her names Alli. I really don't like her that much since she's always self-centered."

"Yeah well I don't fu*king like her." She replied.

"Yeah I don't like her anymore as well, since after what she said to me back there." I spoke back.

She gently brushed her hair out of her eyes with her hand and kept looking at me. For the next two minutes we sat there in silence

just staring at eachother. Finally she said. "Hey, I never caught you're name, what is it?" "Call me Jay." I said kindly my hand still over hers.

Her eyes lit up like the day before Christmas Eve. "Jay...I love the name!" She blurted out excitedly. She slowly leaned toward me about to kiss me,

but she hesitated and leaned back on the bench blushing noticeably.

"I'm sorry...I shouldn't have." She said nervously. "Yeah, you shouldn't have." I said sighing. "Why so?" She asks.

"Because here comes the stuck-up skank, Alli." From the crowded mall, about 40 feet from where Layuh and Jay are sitting comes Alli,

angrily walking towards Jay.

"What the hell do you think you're doing?!"

I quickly grasp Layluh's hand and gripped it tightly, she did the same. "Oh wait, what's this? your new girlfriend I suppose?" she continued.

"Why I oughta-" Layluh managed to spit out before I placed my hands over her mouth. "Keep quiet" I whispered to her.

[End of Part 2]

[Start of Part 3]

I turned to Alli and calmly said. "Why are you here, I though you were done with me?"

"Oh, I'm not finished with you yet, Jay." She smeared obnoxiously. "Well I am!" I shot back. Those exact words that I spoke seem to silence her immediately.

Her hateful eyes suddenly became fearful of me. "...Jay?" She choke out slowly looking at Layluh, then back at me.

"No. I don't want to know you anymore." I said. Alli gave a silent gasp and looked at me. "I...I hate you!" she said cynically, and again stomped

off and out of the mall. I turned around back to Layluh, which she look quite shocked of what I've done. I quietly walked back to where Layluh sat.

She spoke. "Jay, you didn't...did you?" I gave a sighing yes.

"I'm...so sorry to hear that."

"Ah, don't worry about it, she'll get over me soon enough."

She nodded, she slowly placed her hand over mine, I slowly turn around toward her and nervously stroke her right cheek with

my left hand, and whispered in her ear. "I will forever be your guardian." She quickly pulled back, surprised...

It sounds good! :]
Few things that I'd like to point out.

1. I think the plot is developing a little too quickly. Alot of questions are left unanswered. Slow it down a little. Enjoy the ride of actually writing the story.

2. You don't have many grammatical errors, but the ones that you do have make it a bit hard to understand. Some of them don't matter to much (but should be changed if you want it to be a little more professional) - such as "shoulder-to-shoulder". No need for the hyphens. Bigger, more important ones would include the fact that you need to start a new paragraph when a new person speaks - not only is that grammatically correct, but it makes everything a lot easier to read. ALso, check for run-on sentences and sentence fragments. Fragments in certain cases have a certain sort of touch and taste to them, giving flavor to your story and develops your individual writing style, but some of them just don't make sense. There's a difference between leaving those fragments in for style and ones that just don't work, y'know?

3. Pronouns. It gets a bit redundant when you keep on using "he" or "she". Mix it up a little. If you want, use some direct characterization to build your character.

Other than that, it's coming along good. Keep on writing. Keep on posting! :]
