ever hear about basshunter? I've always been told I look just like him...which kind of pissed me off since I keep getting compared to some random people. Well i heard the dota song at a club once and then my friends started playing it and well its a pretty good song...but...i was looking for the translation of the song and found out he's singing about World of Warcraft and ventrillo...Still a decent song but do Swedish people actually listen to this kind of music? which is about Warcraft? Supposedly Basshunter is pretty popular in Europe but do people actually listen to song about games? Code: Select all
Code: Select all

Wow thats creepy. I downloaded their album yesterday to find it was called LOL. Has an amazing version of Boten Anna (instrumental), and that song is apparently about a bot on a forum that he thinks is a real girl. He's also made a Counter Strike song iirc. Code: Select all

I love it cause the language which is Swedish I believe sounds wicked. However, 99% of the people that listen to it probably don't know what its on about, so it probably doesn't matter. I doubt it would be as big if it was sung in English though.

Actually, its about a girl on an irc that he thinks is a bot.
I downloaded both this albums a while ago, his worst song is DOTA...as you can probably see why, theres a translaterd version of Botten Anna, its called Now That You're Gone
DotA isn't about WoW/Warcraft in general. Its about an actual game called DotA. He's been around for a long time, and a lot of this forum listens to him and shares his music
>_> he sings the chorus over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again and nothing else is different except for the voices from wc3 lul
I love foreign music because I cant understand it, and a lot of it good club music, however if the lyrics were to be sung in english...the song would be complete shit because everyone would be laughing at it.

I'm Swedish and I can say the only ones listening to Basshunter were 13-16 old trance/techno jackasses who didn't understand what the songs were about. His songs have never been played in swedish clubs etc but I think it has been very popular in germany and the countries near germany. fkin ravers.
And basically he made the songs to f*ck with people and to get attention. I don't think he was too serious about it in the beginning but when people started liking it he made more. >.>

Lol. Basshunters Boten Anna was a real hit in Holland. Some dutch DJs edited it to a dutch version. (I got a boat) And yeah that version is now edited to Joran got a Boat (from Joran van der Sloot, the one who is aquised of making Nathaly Hollawee dissappear by letting a friend drop her in the sea from a boat)
Like.. summer of 06, he ws a big thing in Holland, but only Boten Anna and Dota broke through.. then people started to lol at him and I never heard of him again...
So....
But did it just reach Poland>> omg.. that's like, 1 and a half year late....
And that 'Bot' Anna, is not a bot, she is kinda like a SG.. she bans, cleans out the channel, just like SG...
haha i love basshunter..and all his songs. dota is a good song
Boten Anna >>> Dota because he copied most of the Daddy DJ(Daft punk) melody
But Boten Anna is teh b3st! I don't listen to rave or techno that often, but its been a long time since i felt like i could listen to that the whole day
