is there anyway to recover files that are deleted from a usb key? no they are not in the recycling bin... i think the computer completely deletes them without going thru the recycle process...

You are pretty much screwed AFAIK. Happend to me not too long ago and asked the sae question. Was told you just can't do that.

There are programs that can recover data that you delete from hard drives as long as you don't wait too long. I don't know if it applies to solid state devices tho. I have one but I'm not at home right now and I don't remember what it was called...
