I say go WoW :p

City of Heroes rules. Free content worthy of an expansion pack every couple months, and there's tons of customization. Zero grinding either, there's tons of missions and story arcs to go on, plus they just rebalanced the leveling curve so it's even easier. You can get the whole thing for I dunno like $30 for CoH and V and $15 a month after that for p2p.

WoW if you're able to pay the monthly fee after you spend your 100, GW otherwise.

Hmz. I played CoH for about 2 weeks, got to level 16 or 18 don't remember, but I found myself grinding for hours straight to level up. Quests only gave a few % XP and I had ( / found??) so little of them I fell back to grinding when I ran out of quests.

I might have continued playing it if it weren't for that :S

Was it just my noobness that caused this way of leveling?

Screw p2p MMORPGs, get Call of Duty 4 or Bioshock or something other than another RPG.

Yeh, you need to get into teams son.

Once you hit the late teens you should've been doing Task Forces and stuff like that for exp. Plus now it's probably better since they fixed the difficulty curve from that level range. CoH in particular had a nasty 15-30 gap with crappy arcs and stuff but it's likely they changed it up a bit. CoV had a bad 25-40 gap too. There's a bunch of things aside from straight missions also, every 5 missions your police contact will offer "bank missions" AKA Safeguard missions, where you can defend a bank from villains and do side missions for badges and exp and stuff. Every city has a different projected level range and each has its own bank mission that you can run.

AND next update will have level 10-20 specific arcs that you can do to unlock costumes and crap, plus more missions and stuff. There's a lot of variety.

Yeh in CoH/V a majority of your EXP will come from missions. There's baddies hanging around town but you don't have to waste them. Often you will want to though because you can get inspiration powerups once they're dead. Inspirations are like mini damage or accuracy boosts, health and action (mana), stuff like that. Also you can get components for "inventing" enhancements that you can use to buff up individual skills and powers. Other rare components can be used to make costume parts or temporary powers.

There are a lot of people playing LOTRO, just not on some servers. But you won't see as many low levels while you play. If you like PvP I wouldn't say it's the best game to get tho.

4 costume slots, 5 if you unlock it. You get your first extra slot at level 20, then again at 30 and so on. Dunno about the game cards, I've never seen one for sale around here. But I've heard some Best Buy stores and stuff do carry them.

Get wow if u wanna jump on the bandwagon and waste ur life away
, but no seriously its areally good game and ull always find people to party with and shit, be weary that it is a bit boring in the starting levels but once u get to lvl 35+ or so ull really start having some fun

Get GW: Eye Of The North because u already have the other 3 and imo it's good expansion pack to complete the game experience

Get CoH/V for tons of fun if ur into superhero type of fun sh1t

Don't get Lineage ... no that good a game imo

Get LOTRO for probably the best visuals out of all these games ... believe if played on high lots of times ull get lost in the scenery

Hope this helps

Interesting,thx for tips,
Lineage not that good?Yea well heard that its a lot of monster bashing, only all the features they say having like CastleWars,Mounts at early levels,Dawn&Dusk PvP looks interesting,
As for GW,its cuz I played it almost 2 years,did like 5 comebacks but didnt last more than 3 weeks,I get bored easily,I'll have to study the content of the Expansion;
As for WoW,40$ for 2 months seem's just too much,I would only afford 4 months =/
As for City Of "x",Im scared its just some "pew pew" everywere
Meh at the end,its just come's to a personnal choice I guess

Oh ya Btw what are your PC specs, because if you have low soecs getting LOTRO and trying to PvP is useless. Unless you have a good PC.

CoH/V (Good vs. Evil Edition) was like $40 when I bought it last year it's probably cheaper now.

hmmm thanks for the info :) always thought it was kinda weird to level that slow lol

I remember having that hover + fly superpowers, was pretty cool to fly over a district to spot some baddies.

I might give it another try, I still have a free month of play for CoV somewhere.

Loki wrote:

Maybe I was a little bit to quick about putting a price in dollars.

I bought WoW + TBC in a battlechest edition. This included 1 month of play, the games on dvds and 2 big strategy guides that come in handy when you're new to the whole WoW thing. Price here: €28,- 1 euro = roughly 1,5 dollars.

But you could probably get wow + tbc in a cheaper set without the flashy box and the guides.

Oh and on a side note.. CoH is really cheap now. I got mine for €2,- brand new in plastic in a big box with a poster, 8 plastic mini models of some badguys and hero's and whatnot more. From the store.

sry felt like editing that a bit :D

no really I tried all the big ones, but its far from the real WoW.

and if you thought the opposing faction's players are assholes wait till you meet the mofo's in a private server. scum I tell ya.

Even with 100 mods its a mess.

The server restarts multiple times a day, the best servers still have huge bugs and the total experience lacks in so many ways from paid WoW.
