Yep, its a skin, but you can see the operating system in dxdiag.

Is there any bugs? Have you actually tested a DX10 game?

Yeah but they don't work yet, but I've seen dx10 effects with them when I was running them in dx9 mode.. This just enables dx10 library files, not dx10 rendering, not yet at least.

And I've noticed a raise in fps in all games I ran :S 10-20% raise.

Why would it? It runs just like DX9. It's just a newer version. Just because MS doesn't want you to have DX10 on XP doesn't mean it's some ridiculous memory hog... they just want to sell Vista.

Here goes nothing...

Works. Can Play DirectX games too. Didn't notice to much of a difference in performance, worse if anything, but it looked a little better IMO.

I'm glad it worked for you guys but I still cant manage to run dx10 .exes.

But theres another way you could get dx10 features with xp, install xp, then vista on another drive and install the games in the vista program files directory, run xp and you should be able to start the game in dx10. Didn't try this yet but I'm planning to.
