Do I believe in ghosts? Single word answer, 'no'.
Do I believe in UFOs? Again, 'no'.
But wait...
I was traveling with my boss the branch manager of a multi-billion dollar insurance company. He was driving and we were crossing the Cascades (also called the Sierra Nevada's further south). We stopped to take a piss. The stars were out like they can only be in the crisp clean mountain air. It was magnificent and our distance from city lights only increased the splendor of the view. It was a quiet and awe inspiring and... there... on the horizon...
We saw a 'light'. It wasn't a 'light' though. It was a lighted object. We both watched as this thingy silently moved in a horizontal path across the horizon then abruptly stopped (in apparent defiance of physics and the conservation of momentum) then suddenly moved toward us.
Both of us were dumbfounded. We silently checked our sanity by a quick exchanged glance, both incredulous by the sight. The object or 'vision' of marsh gas (lol, marsh gas - from our pee? lol) stopped abruptly again and was positioned what seemed to be a couple miles out at the 10:00 high position. As quick as it appeared, it continued across the horizon and disappeared behind the hills on our left. Neither of us spoke about it back at the office except to a single friend, fearing derision and being mocked for what we saw. Neither my boss nor I 'believe' in UFOs.
Do I believe in ghosts? No more than I believe in UFOs.
I do believe in things that I don't understand. Been there, done that.

I love scary movies and everything...but if I were to come face to face with one...I might piss my self.
I didn't, but do understand what you mean.
