So, you know how people are evolved from monkeys right? Well i was watching a movie with my bro and he said that we should get a monkey and when it dies we can stuff it. Then I though do people eat monkeys. Then the Question came to mind. Is it cannibalism If you eat Monkey/Apes/Gorilla's? lol I think it is of course, but it's still a question worth deliberating in my opinion. Primates

Wheres the real solid evidence that humans evolved from monkeys?
IMO this is one of the stupidest questions asked on SRF, and who the hell would eat a monkey? (Yes, I've seen Indiana Jones with indians eating monkey brains)

ugh, I mean assuming we did. Just think about the general Q about eating something we evolved from. Even if it was like dog's, would that be cannibalism? Poll accordingly to that Idea.
assuming the theory of evolution is right, then one can trace back to the supposed "roots" of life, and the first organism and creatures. that would mean ALL life fits ur description of cannibalism.
lol. Something funny just happened. As some of you may remember this thread of mine. viewtopic.php?f=12&t=87104&start=30 And now I go to a therapist. Well i was talking about this in the living room with my bro and then i jokingly said that I was gonna bite a chunk of my arm off and spit it onto the BBQer with some teryaki sauce, and my mom flipped saying she should tell my therapist that cause she don't believe I'm genuinely joking lol.
They eat monkey's in certain parts of the Congo and no it would not be cannibalism if you ate them as they can be considered subsistence like any other animal. EX: Dogs, and cats. In our culture it would be socially unacceptable to feast upon the carcass of those animals. It depends on the environment. If you live in certain parts of the African continent, it isn't unlikely to see a bushman eating bush meat. Luckily I hail from the more "westernized" part of that continent, no bush meat for me.
Going further in depth, The primary theory for the origin of HIV is bushmen hunting primates and as they killed them some of the primate's blood mixed with their own during the struggle. The primate was caring SIV (sp) which in the proper environment transforms to HIV. Yes, that is right ~ the American gov't is not involved. Blame us, the lovely Africans who ate the damn bush meat.

93+% shared DNA.
And we didn't evolve from monkeys, we share a common ancestor. I don't think eating primates is much stranger than eating pork - i'd try it once (no brain or anything like that) but eating something that looks like a cooked baby wouldn't be something worth making a habit out of.
While were on the subject of weird food, i've finally found an excuse to post a picture of my dad (eg: the legend)

Yeah, that's where it came from I think. SIV is like simian immunodeficiency virus I think, and if it goes to a human, it stay SIV for a bit, but it mutated into HIV which is human immunodeficiency virus, and HIV can kill. SIV can't I don't think, it's still deadly though.

well if so I would be a cannibal. I see how they're related to humans, but they're not in fact humans so I'd say you're not a cannibal when you eat a monkey.

Eating monkey? Have heard that it is considered a 'delicacy' to eat monkey brain from live. Kosher style here so Monkey = Swineflesh = Yech. Not the right 'cheese' for Granps, so, no thank-you.
"Good evening, Clarise..."
The idea of a Humanzee (Chuman, or Manpanzee) was advanced with "Oliver" more than a couple decades ago. Micky Dolenz (best known as the drummer of The Monkees) watched during the airing of "Oliver" and there was a short media frenzy. Instead of eating primate, what about sexing them King-Kong and all that. Here's the ink: The Scottsman: Halfman, half-chimp.
I might be the only one who believes that mankind evolved from cheese, but does that make me wrong? Does it make me a cannibal? Viva la munch Code: Select all

Not a stupid question IMO.
Some says monkeys, apes, gorilla (not sure if theres any real different) digivoles to human. If it is true then yeah it would be cannibalism Some says its not true, they say we come from uranus.
But again this is me, and we all have different point of views, btw Dom, you's asian?
