ohsnap ipod broken :-(

I went on a sailing trip last weekend and my iPod may have been in contact with water.
I didn't really think it was going to harm him much since I know someone who had her iPod in the washing machine and it still survived.

Anyways, mine is carved out of other wood and it didn't survive the water. I can charge my iPod, I can put songs on it, I can basically do everything with it except going further than the main menu.
I can scroll around in the main menu but when I press the select button (the circle in the middle) nothing happens. I am guessing this button or feature is broken

Where do I get my iPod fixed? Will it cost me much, will it take much time? Am I better off just buying a nextgen iPod?

Any of you had the same problem and found a fix?

My life's ruined without my iPod, I need it to stay in social isolation and to keep myself from real life things like socializing

Just take it to an apple store, ask what it's gonna cost you, and with that figure in mind, decide if ur buying a new one or repairing.

Buy in the meantime a cheap mp3 player at your local Bart Smit. Keeps you at least a little in your social isolation

When you put two ipods of different sex next to eachother, their screens flash and you get a tamagochi like thing that is born. It's a lot of work though, for guys anyways. All you have to do on the girl ipod is scroll into the menu and click "feed" a couple times a day. The male one makes you play minigames for 8 hours a day, and sometimes even 12 close to christmas time. If you do the same thing with two ipods of the same sex, they just flash and nothing happens.

i suggest just trying to restart(menu + select for a few secs)
or going to apple store and ask for repair
or...
be evil and find some guy with the same ipod and swipe em.

or you can just forget u ever had a ipod and get the ipod human!!!

^fixed my problem, all my ipod had to do was get close and comfy with a shemale ipod and he was happy again
