oh ya i smoke, cuz iam cool but eventually in 5 years i will get a cancer and i my lungs will be all messed up

I dont smoke anything. I have tried cigarettes before and they aren't my kind of thing. Haven't tried weed, cigars or anything else and i don't plan to.

I don't find smoking a particularly appealing feature of a person but if someone wants to do smoke it doesn't bother me, its their legal choice to do so. In fact the majority of my friends smoke, especially when they are around me >_<

Cigarettes burn for approximately 12 minutes, but smokers usually only inhale for 30 seconds. That means for 11 minutes and 30 seconds cigarettes are spewing second-hand (sidestream) smoke into the air .

Because sidestream smoke burns at a lower temperature than inhaled smoke, it contains:

* 2 times more tar, which gums up lungs and breathing passages
* 5 times more carbon monoxide, which reduces the amount of oxygen in the blood

and i cant quote atm but i read is 10 times worse almost 11 than directly smoking. the thing i hate the most is working out and some1 suddenly lighting up a smoke near me ........... wont go any further into that

Aren't you a justified one. Its legal to smoke in an open area ( in my tafe its 5 meters away from any enclosed building or pathway ). I have no doubt in my mind that you wouldn't punch someone for it, its their right to smoke. If you see someone smoking in an open area simply avoid them, its not that hard is it?

I've been smoking for 3.5 to 4 years. Smoking weed for 3 years (on and off).

I also chain smoke when I'm drunk (Unless like last night, I try light the filter =3 )

exactly and ftr in california you arent allow to smoke around others ( almost ) so if there is an issue over this call the cops say you asked them to turn the cig off and they turned aggresive on you and you are concern about your health

Been Smoking for around 17 years..started smoking weed first then cigarettes soon after.
Stoped smoking weed about 3 years ago...but still take the occasional puff!

Smoked Marlboro untill last year...now i roll my own smokes...lot cheeper and i had plenty of practice over the years at rolling (skining) up!

I tried to give up last year but lasted 3 months...i'm week and the addiction is strong.
My Father has been diagnosed with Kidney cancer which also spread to his lung..although not caused by smoking..makes me really want to quit!



can you back up that statement with any facts...just sounds like total bullshit to me!

Well...in the UK we have smoking ban in public places...so the chance of you getting secondary smoke is pretty low!
And i've never had a cigarette tht burned for 12 mins...unless it just left to burn itself out...no more than 5 mins if you actualy smoke the thing.

Seriously though, it's perfectly legal in places and you would be the one commiting a crime by hitting them. Does it make it right for them to smoke beside you? No, obviously not. Yet a few seconds of second hand smoke once in a while won't kill you. You're taking it to the extreme by saying you'd punch them in the face. If it's 'all the time' then kindly ask them to smoke somewhere else, if they don't then move yourself. Until something legal happens about it you're shit out of luck.

yeah..as a smoker!..if someone asked me to move because they were bothered...i would apologise and do so ( and would be embarrassed to cause them discomfort)
