I am using my old hard drive which already has xp installed and it worked the first time I turned it on but now it won't load windows....the bios see my harddrive and it will try to load windows but can't. Is something wrong with my harddrive or is it plugged in wrong? I have an IDE disk drive and a sata hard drive if thats important.

download the xp (home, pro w/e) somewhere on a torrent site and burn it as an iso on CD and boot with it.

try to repair without the console first (first option if your in the cd menu)
if you see the HDD in ur bios, theres nothing wrong with it, just software faults
but your kinda nothing without the cd
