You are to cool.

I'd also recommend Basilisk and Samurai Champloo( if you enjoyed Cowboy Bebop this is a must). Samurai X and Samurai Seven ( If I remember correctly I recall reading that this was based on a classic Japanese movie)are also good. . If you want to go old school yeah Rurouni Kenshin is also a good watch. I'm not to sure about Afro Samurai since I never got past episode two so all I remember about it is that one scene where he splits the bullet with his sword killing a swarm of bandits. That had to be ranked with some of the best fights scenes I have seen.

They are linked but I think one of them, I forgot which, is more like a prequel type of thing. Kinda of like how DBZ and DBGT are or I could be off and it's just one is the US name for it but don't quote me on it, it's been a while since I've watched.

...and I haven't been in AC yet. I'll do it now. 8)

Gintama is the most random storylined samurai anime.

Woah Gintama fanboy, look at all that avy/sig. By the way, Gintama has barely any plot development, like Hayate no Gotoku. It's still a cool series to burn time, nice sense of humour.

Don't forget to watch Samurai X: Trust and Betrayal. It's an OAV but it's the best one that ever came out from the Rurouni Kenshin franchise.
