so i participate in his math comp and he sent me the diagnostic test that he made... there were 10 questions and i solved 9 of them correctly and was told i had the most correct out of all participant. the other question... i didn't even attempt to solve at all.. i just told him u cant and ask him for the answer... so he's our PM exchanges.

i delete all the other question since he said he will reuse the test.

#3... u can't simplify it any further. what is the answer?

SM-Count wrote:
#3 is the cube root of 3. It was a function analysis question where it indicates 2 verticle asymptotes with no real answers at the outside. Therefore the real answer is just cbet{3}

ThiefzV2 wrote:
you are wrong my friend. the given function [(x^3-3)/(x^2-9)] has real values everywhere except when x=-3 and when x=3. an asympotate means there are no solution on the asymptote line, not on the outside. and when an eqn is "simplify" it has to be same as the original eqn. for instance, if u are being asked to simplify (2x/3x) then the answer is (2/3) because no matter what x is then the answer will always be (2/3). Your solution of (3)^(1/3) aka cubert(3) for #3 is not correct because every x you plug in gives you a different answer... not a constant same value. If I am wrong, please teach me the branch of mathematics that u are using and provide me with reference of where i can learn a new system of math.

x^3-3 / x^2-9 has a real answer at the cube root of 3, with asymptotes at 3, -3 and no zeros outside. The phrase simplify in math is a common phrase for finding the zeros, there's no excuse for missing that. If I asked you to simplify a quadratic you would be looking for the zeros, not just giving me the factors, because I asked for the factors. Same thing for this rational function.

Wow just wow :banghead: i cant believe u just said that. :banghead:

so the question is when did the word "simplify" means solving for zeroes? Please edumacate me :?

Your thread would drown, if I didnt bump it...
Why are you such a bitch and you wanna show everyone that someone knows something or someone doesnt ...
Some things you need to keep for yourself...

Noone cares.

i dont see why he cant make a thread if they are disagreeing and need second opinion.

anywho

apparently u care enough to read it, hit the reply button, type something, then hit submit

as the other person say theres nothin wrong with asking for others people opinion when two people disagree on sumthing.

I got one wrong because of language barriers. I just didn't understand one of the problems. Also screwed up the simplifying one.

Do we have to go over and over this again?
You started to annoy me, from the past week, when you started to bitch about D2A - how smart he is, how awesome he is ... anyway, the thing that pissed me off the most, is you being selfish that much, that you didnt even ask him.
So... you didnt ask him could he get your msn and he didnt reject, unless you are D2A... and if you are, god you are awful person ... Yikes ...

Second, I dont give a fuck (sorry about my expressing), will I have D2A's msn or not.
He was just a person that I could use help (maybe) from, later on in my life...
If he doesnt want me, okay, life goes on, who cares, I dont need him too.
If he does accept me, sure yay, I have interesting and smart friend on my msn list.

Honestly, I dont care about D2A, he doesnt play any roll in my life (I couldnt say that for you, you worship him like he's your father), and you never meet him, pathetic!

Find non e-friends, please, do yourself a favor.

there were a couple that involved calc/precalc too even though the real thing wasnt supposed to involve them so i just didnt do them.
ive done 4 of em i think and i was too lazy to do the rest that i know how to do, so i didnt even bother sending in my answers.

i think the last question on the real deal test to calculate the speed requires calculus but i might be wrong. not sure

wow Nitro your post is full of contradiction...

so you are so "pissed" off at me because I didn't ask him on msn if he would be your e-friend, then then you are telling me to find "non-efriends" because I have an efriend that you wanted to have out of many friends i have, including r-friends and e-friends? jealousy?

make up your mind... u keep switch back and forth... so you were pissed about it that u begun to flame me in every thread i post in recently, now you are saying u don't give a **** and still continue to flame me for not asking him? :?

Nitro wrote:

so u going to were planning to add someone to the list to annoy him with your premenstrual syndrome and to bombard him with stupid questions?
