How about letting us exchange GOLD ONLY within our account?

And maybe guild vaults.

Wouldn't it kill the goldbot industry? Will you possibly sacrifice this option?

Of courses they'll start to abuse stalling, buying lvl1 items for millions bought from their sites, but still it sounds like a solution.

You than play the game like it is meant to be played, sell stuff get gold, buy stuff...

Just letting you know, i'm aware of the fact that this restriction will kill powerlvl industry (legits would say it is another advantage) as well. I'm pro plvl, but i'm ready to handgrind if this will make the game playable.

This idea is fresh, so if you find any mistakes point them out..

Regards

Like you said the stalling method would just be then used. Anyway then no one can help out low lvls with gold and you can't make transactions other than through stalling. To be honest the only way to kill the gold bots is to stop buying gold....and people will never do that, bot legit or other.

The only way goldbot industry can stop is for joymax to have profit in doing this... and believe me , there is no money for joymax when banning goldbots .

I suggest we all invest 1 buck into a private bank account and buy joymax :D.

Like i said this will force us to PLAY the game...

When Silkroad was first introduced i wasn't given any gold to start with.

What JM should do is open a new test server with some restrictions or at least fix an existing one for a certain period of time to see if it will work.

They should be eager to solve problems but what they do is they introduce new avatars, new tickets and keep bulls*iting us.

The new cap is looming , why wouldn't JM try out some ideas?
I just simply can't belive that they are not aware with the problem.

Soon, private server will steal customers of JM. It's just about time. We'll see who will lose the war JM vs legit

Botters will flock to private servers and if they can't handle it there, when they come back to Isro they'll be mocked.

"You dip****, you couldn't even cut it on a PServer gtfo" ~ Private servers will be A]The beginning of the end for bots and B]The time Joymax realizes they need to fix the game before it is to late.

Not likely they'll lose any customers to PServers. They might however lose players to cSRO and the like. I find cSRO much more fun and honestly, I don't even have iSRO installed anymore.

I think the goldbot problem will be solved only if Joymax will start to sell gold by silk. Otherwise, nothing can stop the goldbots, even if the ip ban or something else.

On the other hand, i think we should discuss, does Joymax want to stop goldbots, or not? I think no, cuz goldbots make the servers crowded and many ppl would buy premium to login easily. Believe me if Joymax decides that selling gold by silk will bring more profit than premium, they will start to sell gold by silk and this goldbot problem will be solved.

If you make that ... what kind of retard game will SRO become? In what game you cant trade gold? And they will find another way to bypass that and we will have another stupid unnormal thing in game for ever , same as image verification (which didnt solve anything) .

That's what I suggested also in another thread and you're right, they don't do it because having the bots profits them. It doesn't really matter how many more topics we'll make and talk and whine in, money is heard much clearer than our voice is.

And Nitro, Image verification might not be helping at all (we can't really know) though it sure doesn't hurt anyone.

Wouldnt you like to just press connect instead typing those letters?
ImageVerficiation is here to stop bots from Auto-logining ... and as I heared they have found the way ...

I couldn't care less about the Captcha (the true name of the image verification system). It takes about 1 second to do. I cared more for the game closing after each time I failed to connect, that took a lot more time than the silly image.

And yeah, an OCR (Optical Character Recognition, the software that reads the Captcha and tells you what's written in it) can easily be made to bypass it. I doubt it matters much though, the gold companies already have a thousand bots connected to the server an hour after inspection :)

There is only one way to deal with goldbots, and that's to track the flow of gold through the servers, and start banning gold buyers. Once people stop buying gold out of fear of losing their characters, the gold market will disappear, and with it the gold bots and town spammers. Now if only Joymax had the stomach to actually do it.

It has nothing to do with guts, it's simple business. Those who are willing to buy gold are already in the state of mind of paying for this game. That's why, obviously, they're people who already bought silk and will continue. A good business satisfies its customers and they're being a great business.

The main purpose to create this Capcha is to stop brute force hacking

What's the use of that if they got multiclient? The 'ban' is for 10 or 15 minutes. It would surely slow down the process and definitely make it harder, but not stop it.

The only way to stop GoldBots IMO is for JoyMax to:
1.Make Silk Items Sell-able In Stalls
2.Make Silk Cheaper

Everyone then will buy silk, buy silk items, then sell them for millions in stalls, a much better way of buying gold than GoldBots...the GoldBots industry will die.

Csro already did that and there are 0 gold bots on their servers...active GMs also play an important role but mainly the whole making silk sell-able thing solved the problem, cause ppl will have to choose between buying silk (=gold) from joymax or buying gold from suspicious gold bot sites.

Banning GoldBots is not the solution, they'll always come back.

When Item-Mall first came out silk items were sellable. Rampant CCF quickly changed matters.

Buying gold is alot cheaper then buying silk, ppl would buy gold on from these gold botters in order to buy silk items (premium tickets, avatars...ect)
