gold bots definition?

i stopped playing a while back but im starting up again and i had bots then but now there r saying like "gold bots" or something like while servers crouded cuz of gold bots. just wanted to know what a gold bot actually is

gold bots = characters that bot only and only to collect gold (usually gold bots are used by gold companies that sell ingame gold for real $)

some one told me that the gold sites buy gold from the ppl that bot for it, not 100% sure
