Spoiler is a post I made a long time ago. I might be blind, but WoW GFX are fine for me.
Spoiler!

the gameplay might be better which i doubt since SRO was once awarded with the "Best PvP" prize or something like that.
hahahahaha
Srsly SRO is just grind spamming same skills and pvp spam same skills
In WOW you have tactics for alot of different situations, oh don't even get me started about comparing those 2 games
No offense really, ofcourse it's your own opinion but.. really once you've actually played wow past lvl 20 you will break down and cry looking back at SRO.
IMO
OT: grats man! mage FTW I just hit 70 on my own mage 2 weeks back or so.
WoW pvp sux compared to GW-s ... Van / Smurf / RuYi knows what I'm talking about ^^ Seriously WoW's PvP aint nothing special ...
I've played both. I rather the 40 vs 40 AV BGs, ability to buy armor and items according to the honor you've earned, and much more competitive and stable arena system.
/thread-hijack I just hit 70 less then a week ago too, I should of made a thread. I was cheering too much to take a screenshot when I hit 70, but I have one I took the day after.
On the subject or wow and sro. I agree WoW is much slower, considering you can't leave a bot on 20 hours of the day to play for you. It normally takes a person ~200-250 hours to get to 70 on their first character. I wouldn't be surprised if 79-80 on SRO takes that alone. Not to mention, I lvled doing quests and instances, rather than grinding the same mobs for 600+ hours of /played time.
It also makes me laugh when players pick on the graphics. WoW is very scalable, on a high end computer it looks amazing. Not to mention that the terrain is terraformed and has tons of objects that take up a lot of GFX resources - compare that to the endless open plains of SRO with a random hill and tree in the middle of no where. See pictures I googled below, maybe in a bit i'll get in game and take a picture of myself flying on a gryphon somewhere, hundreds of feet off the ground looking down on the massive world, that takes like 20 minutes to fly from north to south on 1 of 2 continents located in the 1 of 2 realms.
Edit: here's some pictures I took flying over a zone in norther kalimdor - ill grab some more of other places in a second.
Here are pictures flying over a zone in the expansion, note I run on 1680x1050, and I don't have grass or mobs to draw from extreme distances, yet it's still much more complex than SRO.
Here are pictures of the capital city in the expansion, again, I don't have people or mobs to render from this altitude.
Here's one of my interface. I used to have an extremely modded interface, but it's too difficult to use when you play on more than one PC, and public PCs. I'm a paladin, so I don't have that many skills on my interface, but my other characters have more.
GG SRO fanboys that have never played WoW or have barely touched it, yet argue that SRO is better. WoW has 10,000,000 subscribers for a reason, without counting those that used to play or play on private servers.

Same..
Reason why Sro > WoW in my eyes.. Silkroad doesn't have cartoon graphics. WoW has cartoon graphics. I cannot stand playing a game like that. Honestly if WoW didn't have cartoony graphics I would play it.

Lol, you can't compare silkroad to WoW, silkroad is a small game, played by mostly turks.. WoW is played worldwide, and cartoonish graphics? Lawl Silkroad doesnt have good graphics at all o.O Just look at the Chat boxes, guild boxes and everything, its so farked up. You can't even walk with a,w,d,s or Jump xP
And pvp in silkroad is like.. standing there spamming 1,2,3,4.. You need skills to be good in pvp at WoW
Don't judge something before you tried it, i've played Silkroad for 2 years, but i didnt realize that i wasted my time untill i started Wow And like.. 10 $ a month? how much is that compared to all the $ u pay for a silly premium ticket? lol.
Btw, whats wrong with Graphics? (Meh, didnt get the whole picture, with interface n shit >.>)

And now an opinion from someone who's actually played both WoW and SRO~
Graphics =/= Theme, get that right for once.
Yes WoW is a life consuming game, but that's because WoW has an awesome end-game that you can enjoy for hours. Opposed to SRO where 70% of the gameplay is sitting on your butt smashing numbers 1 and 2 on your keyboard just trying to level. (The world record for getting from 1-70 in WoW is 1.1 days)
Only kids QQ about having to P2P WoW, thus WoW has less kids playing. I mean hell, the amount of money I would spend in one month of SRO is equivalent to 3 months of WoW.
TL:DR
Overall, WoW is better, but I still love ya SRO
Totaly agree i have also played wow (have a 70 warrior and 60 warlock) and sro (88 bower). I have to say as an end game meaning being top lvl imo WoW wins over sro.
The only thing that people see is the "Cartoon" graphics and they dont bother to look past that and dont even try it.
Imo if you havent played WoW till 40+ STFU .
P.s. atleast on WoW u can pvp in battle grounds with peeps your own lvl unlike Sro u get all the high lvl nob heads killing you so u cant have fun till lvl 90.

WoW is friggen spectacular at keeping you entertained, specialy at END game which is most important, but it has way to many things to do so it's way to time consuming if you want to achieve something. They also moderate so much you can't even enjoy foul language without some ding bat being a little snatch and getting you banned just for his enjoyment ( Happened too many times too me ) and even my own guild edventually just ticked me off so much that i quit. SrO might stink at END game but it's a lay back game so i appreciate that

Biggest problem with wow... NO WORLDWIDE TRIANGULAR CONFLICT! Thats what makes it a bit boring (I know that opposing fractions can kill eachoter in wow, but its not like robbing a trader och killing a theif with much loot)

lol at this turning into a SRO vs WoW debate XD (on a SRO board no less!)
You can take this with a grain of salt because I have not played WoW at all, but I can infer that WoW is overall a better game ('better' obviously being inherently subjective to an extent) for a few reasons. First, WoW has millions of subscribers who pay $15 a month to play, I think if SRO was pay to play for 1 dollar a month, you'd see a steep decrease in the number of players. Also Blizzard is a pretty well-known and successful game developer while Joymax well, doesn't as much of a reputation :D
Don't get me wrong, I like SRO and that's why I still continue to play it :)
