Mousetrap will probably help you, but for now.

That have may to do with your internet provider. You are maybe connected to the internet over an proxy(-server) and some guys are connected to silkroad online about the same proxy. That means that there are more guys with the same IP logged in into silkroad.
Should you play maybe in a big dormitory where you can use their internet connection, like it is often in germany, then you can have the same problem, cuz there are maybe some guys who play then with the same IP like you. I dont know how many different people can play at the same time with the same IP, but i guess its around 4 players. If you have a provider who make you to use a proxy, then you can only disconnect and reconnect to the internet, till you don't get that c10 error. That did it for me, as i used a mobile internet connection with my PC, but it can sometimes took a little bit time till you have a other IP. Just visit all the time: http://www.whatismyip.com/ Then you will see if you have another IP.

Well, this is what i know about the C10 error, but i don't know if any other shit can produce that error.

Or...

10 implies there already is a connection open on that IP address and TCP port. It's usually caused by a computer or NAT router not properly closing the connection after a game crash or by trying to connect from 2 computers behind a bad NAT router. In the first situation you can reboot your computer and your router to see if that helps, and if it does not file a bug report with JoyMax with your character name and the server, describing the problem, and ask them to disconnect you.

I have not even heard of that error.

It's a weird thought that if you get an error Joymax won't lift a finger to help you and you have a better chance of getting ehlp here.

Yeah, I downloaded some updates for my Vista last night but I did it and went to bed, it auto shut off so I just left.

Logged on today no errors, sometimes I get Vista shit with other games, like the windows firewall or W/E messes it up.

Woot! Mousetrap to the rescueee (Maybe ;\)

C10 is usually a bug that makes you show up as still logged into SRO, a little (if that makes any sense... if it thought your account was fully connected it would say this user is already connected)
You can log on to another account, that's a problem. It confirms that it's your account remains if you will, still latched onto the server a little...
I've had the error before after a dc / crash, but it only lasted around 10 minutes.

You have two options;
1. Continue trying to fix the problem like I would

or, if you aren't as addicted to SRO as I am (lol)
2. Wait until mondays inspection

If you can't connect after mondays inspection you're really, really screwed unless joymax decides to step in.

Anyway, assuming you're a fellow addict :)
start --> run --> cmd
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew
ipconfig /flushdns

connect to silkroadonline.net
btw, you have tried unplugging your router AND Modem for one minute right..?
could even try a direct connection from modem to computer just to try.
Modify your host files to include all silkroad ips (if you haven't, search these forums for them)
Disable any firewall you might have... are you running XP or vista?
I personally don't like doing pk2 edits etc.. they just generally cause problems that aren't worth it.
When you say you reinstalled the whole client, what did you mean ? Reinstalled silkroad altogether ?

Wait till next server restart then.
U wont connect till then unless u could bypass that error by modifying the client

The error could also due the fact that u previously launched iSRO, therefore u cant play ECSRO at the same time

good that it's fixed for ya ...

anyways ...

Quote:
IX: C10 error
The C10 occurs when a connection is already open to your IP address and TCP port. If rebooting your computer didn't fix it, try rebooting your router. If that doesn't help, a NAT router in your ISPs network may be responsible. Submit a bug report with your character and server name, and explain that your connection remains open.

SOURCE

happened to me a few times and a reboot does work.
