Alright I'm thinking about making a Bard char...just bard no sub or anything...is this a terrible Idea? I'll be on Venus so after lvl 30ish I won't have much of a problem with parties and what not + I'll be able to lvl with a 3 gap so I'll lvl pretty fast...so yah what do ya'll think?

Maggi in Avalon is a pure bard. He is currently lvl 79 farming in chaser's pt having almost 600K SP. He gonna get a wizard sub later though. But the point is, Bard without a sub is not a bad idea. I've experience it in FW where couple of parties couldnt get a second bard. As long as you know it is best used in a party, then u will be fine. Btw, welcome back to Venus.

Make a Bard/Cleric. That way you'll be completely independent as far as survival and MP needs to. Out of all the classes in the game, its the only one that's self sufficient to the fullest extent. Bard will be your main attacks and such, since its got a quicker cast time, Cleric for your absolute damage skills and Offering/Pure Offering. Not to mention when you get fully farmed and capped at 90, you got both Mana Orbit and Healing Orbit.

Yes that build is pwnage...but I'm trying to do as little sp farming/gapping as possible and so far pure bard is my best bet

I'm capped and still pure bard. Did it the same reason as you, I hate farming. Up until 6x all you do is cycle and keep tambours up. After that you get two bards in a party, then you can attack as well as cycle and once you hit 9x and get Mana Orbit, then you don't even have to worry about cycling, just hit your hot key every 16secs. PM me in game or here if you have any questions. I'm farming for a sub now, but it'll be a long process, but I don't really care, the only reason for my sub is PvP, which I don't do a lot of.

go bard till 79 ish , then 9 gap at chaser enough sp for bard 90 and a subclass. i'd rec cleric or warlock =o but warlock is better with cleric. so i'd go bard cleric or bard wiz really =x
but sro is more fun when you get more skills =] just farm later :p
