This is probably old news, but i discovered this by mistake...

ever wonder why your stuns only last for like 1 second and the mob's attack still hits you?
I have the answer to that!
the Stun status is taken off when you attack a stunned mob or player!
So if you stun the mob DON'T ATTACK it! (pet's can though) this can be useful for when your soloing a giant, you have time to pot.

This doesn't work well for the attack, 'Screw' because you automatically follow with normal attacks, which I think cancel the stun.

'Prick' is the skill you want to use, unlike Screw, with it's 5 second stun, Prick has a TEN second stun AND you don't attack anymore after using the skill, just imagine, the mob standing there, yellow, not doing a thing for ten whole seconds.

Problem is, Screw has a 30% chance to stun and Prick has 10%.

I'm pretty sure prick's stun is also 5s though I could be wrong.

Anyway... yeah, old. It's like that with all stuns since before euro I'm pretty sure.. glaviers can stun for 5s but once they hit with another move the stun cancels. That's why it's best to nuke as soon as you get stun on as a spear nuker.

I protest that:
The stun can last from 1-5 seconds

Thats why it sometimes your opponent is stunned for what appears to be a blink of an eye.

I don't really think hitting the monster under effect negates the stun effect like slumber or
root etc.

well at least the glavie skill

Yeah, I have a 2x Lock atm.

My stuns are 1-5 seconds, how long could be dependant on the oppenants level.

But if I hit them, they are still stunned.

Sleep is where you can't hit them.

I was PvPing and this wiz wouldn't leave me alone, so I stunned him and ran out into the woods, he followed, no one was around, put sleep on him, kept rescasting, he was stuck there for ages until I grew guilt and slept him one time and ran for safe zone.
