yah and after that 15 sec that hybrid int is on the ground if he doesnt use snow shield lol. come on, be realistic. i have a hybrid s/s lvl 87, 7:1 and i wish i had gone pure int. why? coz the extra 1k hp doesnt matter when fighting another of my same lvl and i kd them without imbue for 222 dmg only !!! so that added str was only for a little phy def and some hp, but i lost about 2k~2.5k of nuke damage.

F-22 wrote:

where do you see i am telling that? lol i am saying the exact opposite. the reason you see str with snow at this cap is because it is still possible to have 20 lvl ice or 30 for snow. but as it was before at 60/70 cap when snow wasnt here str did fine, and when the caps will go 100+ str will do fine without snow shield as well. only hybrid and int depend on snow and hybrids will have harder time to pick between masteries when cap rises coz they need more mastery to be strong.

i agree with Jdealer , he got the point.

you either have bad items or the guy you pvp against had a sun weapon...15 secs is pretty weak. even for 1:7 s/s, most s/s hybrid int i know can handle pure str without a problem. most str die aginst int build without snow shield, unless they have suns and pre+ other than that you will see more int base dominate pvp (chinese vs chinese). you should try to get to lvl90 and retest your skills. because being a lvl87 will give you a disadvantage in pvp. like someone mention earlier in this topic, skills are not the only factor that play a role in this game. you have to look at what they are wearing and using.

btw, when i said pure str using skills not meant for their build was not to target you. it was for those who want to argue with me in the future that snow shiled is for any build.

pure int has .000001% chance of staying alive till snow is back up when pvping another str.

Hybrid. almost the same fate. some1 that I have pvp had armor set 85-90+5/6 set Premium+...me without it AND with protector set (85-89+5)...it is possible for a hybrid to do "fine" without snow for a min. till of course a str. stuns a few times or "1" hit by a crit. I did win but was able to use snow again since 10~15 sec. before dying.
of course I did loose too.

at this cap u won't find many hybrids with 88-90 parts..
the rule for pvping int (including hyb). builds is....stay alive for 2mins 15 sec. and you win.

there will be many exceptions to this "rule" cuz there are plenty of retards that have no idea what they are doing while pvping. if some1 think there is not much to pvping besides spamming on skills with no tactics, you are part of that exception.

My hybrid str archer. Stats with 15% item, without premo plus, and without any buffs outside of grasswalk. FF'd and 90. Set is +4~5 prot, 40~80% white parries, blues almost perfect. Masteries are 90 fire, 90 light, 90 bow, 30 ice.

Image

Hp without 15% item is 25572.

In pvp, against chinese str, because of the 15% hp increase buff, unless the other player outgears me and/or has a premo plus, it generally ends in a draw. Before, glaivers just hit me too hard and a crit would drop me too quickly. Against ints, unless it's a spear, outlasting snow is quite the bitch. Zooming all over and kbing while spamming firewall is really all that allows me to outlast them. All I can really say is that, in pvp, I don't feel like I'm gaining anything at all from my magical damage increase. I'm just missing my hp.

Grinding, on the other hand, is amazing. I definitely notice the difference in my damage output compared to pure str bows.

I know that I'm not much of a hybrid, but with the addition of the 15% hp boost, the damage gained from hybridization is definitely not enough to kill other str players. I doubt though, had I stayed pure str, that it would've changed much outside of me tanking a bit more. I like my damage output, and once we get the second kb book, I know I'll feel a lot less squishy with the dent I created in my hp pool.

As i said, eveyone will use only wep tree skills and int builds will have only 1 nuke maxed, which is disadvantage.
thatsa point hybrid builds will appear massively
max cap increase is only a question of time.
maybe they will increase max mastery cap.(and nukers stay alive)

somone know somethin about this?

lol i dont think you have any idea about a real pvp. go outside dw or w/e in your server and watch actual good players pvp. if you say pure str cant survive int without snow at this cap you have some serious problem. dont tell me i have bad item. i have been playing this char with this build from 70 cap. at 80 cap i had all +5 full blue with +7 s/s and now i have a +5 s/s with +4 full blue and thats not final. and i am not talking about pvping with a lvl 90 i am talkign about fightting with my lvl. read more carefully next time.

when I was playing my hybrid sword did more dmg than a pure int in the same equips when I used weapon skills and I could easily kill warrior/clerics by spamming kd unless my snow ran out..

lol, thx for the support. btw, do i know you?

sly, you should read carfully what i wrote above. i never said you pvp against lvl90, i just said lvl up to 90. For a hybrid its a big disadvantage to pvp even against ppl with your same lvl. for hybrid int to be strong to they require more int and str. i was one of the first hybrid int on my server so i do know what i am saying. you might not like what i say but dont try to be take my credibility away from me. If you can get to lvl90 and get a pre you will do fine at this cap. There are so many factors that affect a character build in this game then before.

About STRs, hybrid glavie and bow are decent imo, but blade is pretty fail. They can use snowshield as pure STR without it draining all their MP, 20~30% is fine.

That should make a few things clear. ;)

So what does he do at 100+ cap?
Keep fire? Force loses its use cuz using force on people higher than the mastery = fail

This coming from somebody with a str hybrid Bowman and pure int wizard.

OFT: Your blader is a bowman now????

OT:

Shouldn't China being hybrid be REALLY plainly obvious after what was it, end of 06 or summer 07? Or whenever Euro was released. The item info pretty much confirmed that.

All pre-euro ppl just went pure since at the time, it was a way to easily max dmg without much thinking. Pure str crits harder, and pure int nuke harder. Now with euro's pure builds, we see that hybrids for china is better. Also with higher caps, the dmg and power of a pure decreases since the trees dwindle down. Pure str can tank, but the amount of dps will only increase in higher caps. We saw that in the old cap, pvp was alot of 1 strong hit after another, but in higher cap videos, we see that ppl rely on high dps moves. This is where hybrids will make up their weakness. They can't hit as hard in 1 shot, but combined they will rape you. That, at least, is what i predict will happen.

As for my opinion, I enjoy my pure int simply because it's weak as shit. I hate games where i have a stupid amount of hp so that it rarely goes down.

Note: A good player is neither determined by his build, nor his equip, but a combination of both. A good build will still get raped with shitty equip, and a fully pimped set can still be raped by a stronger build. I've seen 2 diff builds with the same set, and one will usually win in pvp, but with a shitty set, the other wins. It's a combination of both. A balance if you will.

Video is terrible..all the people he PvP's are retarded. Last out his snow and you win, sadly no one tried to do that. The S/S was spamming nukes at some points :? Hybrid w/o snow shield is just like an int w/o snow shield, especially with the lack of 89-90 gear.

The thread title should be:
"Solo pvp is for hybrid"
"Group pvp s for pure"

No one say that it's necessary to go hybrid if no one mention the playing style

I have a hyb nuker that I put 15 lvls (45 points) into STR. I use spear and you can definently tell that I have those str points in. I hit almost as hard and sometimes harder than a pure str glavie with soul spear soul. the hp helps a bit but the damage is the significance. When I pvp I use; Nuke, soulspearsoul, jumping soul spear. This kills pretty much everyone but bladers and 1h warriors.

If it's 100 cap...what's the problem?

Fire/Force/Bicheon.

That was easy. =)

edit:
Forgot to include an explanation:

300 = max mastery
3 = 1 + 1 + 1 = fire + bicheon + force
300/3 = 100. Perfect for 100 cap.
