He was grinding on Warriors in the cave of all things... He KSed Forever_Evil, a NIKE botter who was annoying him and that is what dropped.
And the dura reduce? ZZzzZZzz He ws in a hurry and didnt look to see that the last plus had used it. That happened before we got it to +7 this miorning.

Pake1,
here's what i think about bows..
1) they can give u a range of support in any type of war/job (yes i did experience this b4,hell i think lots of players experience this b4)
2)very few bows at cap can make the cut im sure ur aware of that right? but theres 3 on our server that got what it takes, too bad SilkR0ad isnt one of em.
3)and to the above posts saying abt hybrid bows, yes i have a union member with 86% mag balance 64% phy balance i believe.Hmm,i dont know but i think he kills faster than a pure str archer, certainly looks so.
4)Bows dont suck, they're the type "i got ur back covered bro"

Question: If the bow has the physical attack of a magical weapon and the magical of a physical, then how are you all so sure pure STR is the only build for it? (ignoring the crit for now) Surely a 1:1 build would be more suited?

Even though this thread wasn't about me.. your thinking about that other thread i made that started (and ended with people talking about "Wow"_ i think i made a mistake.
Anyway, Silkroad has a +7 bow, and based on her buffs during the war, is fully farmed. How can she not be one of them, and who are the best 3 archers in venice?
FK47, Crits and range are the only things an archer has ( if you discount the fast attacks of the combo). So being pure str makes the most out of that skill, as it is your bread and butter for 1-68, and devil arrow at lvl 69.

The reason I think bows aren't doing that well in 1v1 is because they can't abuse their range.. and as soon as the opponents get into close range bowers will suffer from status effects.
But then again.. the opposite is true in groufights, they can abuse their range..as Akatsuki said: they're the type "i got ur back covered bro"

Yeah, we're good at 1vs1 vs nukes and lower-lvls, we are support chars, we need to retreat at times too, we can't use the bow and pvp like a glaiver.

Mmmhhh I still like my bow (and that is the most important thing for me). I have a level 64+7 bow too, but I am still farming (it is fast now, because I only get sp and with a gap of 9 a lot).
Yesterday we had a job war at DW eastgate, the thiefs were Nuker and Glavie user, we were mixed.
The thiefs always run all together on one hunter (in most cases they attacked one of the Hunter-Nuker). So I used my distance bonus to kill the thiefs with some crit hits.
It was also no problem to fight close to a Nuker (even they make more damage) or a Blader (when you got a shield to use, when they thrwo you on the floor) - only problem is the stun of a glavie, but I think this is a problem for everyone in pvp.
While grinding I kill faser than my guildmaster (glavie), because I just stand in the middle of the room and kill the mobs with 2-3 hits, depense on crit or no crit (we are at the level 60/70 mobs in cave), he has to run to the mobs, collect a bunch of them to kill them with this "go around" skill.
For PvP I just try to become better in using the grasswalk skill to get my distance bonus - but I am not very good in it.
Oh and killing Uniques is nice with a bow, I don't do it very often, but the times I killed Isy nearly my hole party was dead, because they have to run into the elite/giants mobs - I stand outside (always be sure you have clicked on the Unique) and if the mobs come to close, just run a little bit, than attack again.
Hope this helps a little bit and was written not to bad

well i cant say they're the best coz its my own individual experience/opinion,everyone has different views right ?
but to my experiences, and i've seen them in action for myself.Apparently 2 of them are in "hibernation mode" till cap is raised anyway.I believe AllEYezOnMe did see them before.
here's my pick, try to observe them in a job war if u see them,
Okana_TH
Subotai
Gonyx / and of coz the diva
as to y i pick them..its not only the gear they have, they know what to hit when to hit, what to do in circumstances not in their favor.pretty much "i got ur back covered" thingy again. As for SilkRoad,i can tell u this.he doesnt really know what he needs to do,i took part in the war and yes i did notice what he did.lets say,an archer with phunky's "vision" . that would make him godly wont it ? It justs boils down how well u can support ur team mates.(in given time, gear)
bear in mind cuch's sig,
if u have 1vs1 pvp in mind, no matter what build u make , its gonna fail.
i believe the sig was that? too lazy to get the quote from other posts
EDIT : DarkJackal is a good example of a good archer here anyway

Perhaps it was due to equipment... i don't know, but i hardly think that it's a build to be "joked around about." It's also an excellent build for unique killing take Wind from aege for example, a balanced hybrid bow on Aege, he's almost always killing Isy, he also kicks ass in pvp. So there is your proof that it isn't a sucky build. The only way you can do a hybrid bow right is if you reroll it.
I know someone that is a hyb bow user and he does good damage and can tank quite a few pure int and pure str.

(He loves it when I tell ppl how easily I kill him.) I kill him pretty easily and it's awsome cause most of the game so far, he has been able to killl me or at least tank me. Then I went glaive.

Why does a hybrid bow have more defense and hp than a pure str bow? Wtf?
Bow: LESS MAGIC THAN SWORD, LESS PHYS THAN BLADE.
Ok... go 1-1, that's like one less idiot to worry about.
In all honesty bows suck until you get devil arrow.

Actually, it has slighty more than each. From the stuff I've seen, at least (NPC)

Read my post. did I say he had more defense than a pure str bow??? The answer is no. I did not. Read the post before you go slammin people. All I said is this person can tank pure str and int and deal a very good amount of damage. This char is not your run of the mill 2-1 or 1-1 he is all kinds of wierd. but he has enough phys. and magical damage that he hits harder than a pure str. Therefore killing faster. I have seen this person win most of his pvp battles. Note the word MOST. He has had his fair share of losses too.

bow characters can be really effective if they are smart about how they chain their skills. however, most bows i know are button-mashers... they don't think strategy. bow skills just take too long to charge and fire for you to not think carefully before constructing your battle sequence.
