As long as you are higher level than botters you can take a stand. This weekend let's set NPC thieves on any botters we find. Go to a place of your choosing (you can do it with a 1 star or multi) bring a camel, 1 star, terminate it and summon a horse for a 2 star. bring lots of horse pills too. Warn people grinding that you are doing this so they don't get caught up in the frenzy.

Have a friend set up a harmony therapy circle and get inside. Let the theives do the rest.

don't have harmony therapy? run past the botter and terminate your transport as the thief approaches the botter.

Get your guild or union to do it, its a fun team building activity. While it won't make a huge dent it should make you feel better.

Unfortunately it doesn't work in caves :[

If anyone knows any other tricks that would be good.

If only SRO had a bar showing the opponent's HP bar...then I'd help the monsters kill them by lowering their HP or at least drain their pots.

If you know the other players in your cave room, you can murder the bot and work the murder status off. I'm told killing white is 1 point and orange is 10? Does anyone know? If it is indeed 10, that's only 120 kills which is like 10-15 minutes

You can kill a bot all day long, or get him murder status, or delevel him 10 levels.

It makes no difference; they still win in the long run, with the program running constantly.

Living examples still on xian; of bots beaten down and deleveled, only to see them 64+ later in the week

A few NPC death is irrelevant when you train a level a day.

Just don't go ruining the game for other players trying to grind in the area. They have feelings, bots dont.

It works, just it gets patched so fast. If SRO made it so we could see their HP, no bot will ever be safe again. Or at least their attempts will be thwarted, HP potting like mad and going back to town all the time. I don't see a way a botter can get around this unless they're babysitting their characters which decreases the point of botting. Anyway, I could help kill the bots and minmize my murder risk by a lot.

Getting them murder status was the biggest blow the botters ever received...loss of exp, loss of items (aside from a ban which isn't widespread). It was also a great player incentive. Botters won't attack players anymore so the only thing players can to do now is kill them..

Either help the mobs kill botters or murder them but what's the fastest/safest way to get rid of murder?

That's because people gloat and brag about how to do it, allowing the bot makers to patch it. How about make a non-botters only club and only share the information there. Of course, you'd always have to worry about leaks.

Neither would any other player. That'd really change the game... Even being able to see a persons buffs gives an unfair advantage, IMO.

What? I like seeing peoples buffs.

Particularly when your getting your asses kicked in cape, wondering "wtf?" then you check their buffs and see damage / defense scrolls IN CAPE DUEL.

Yeah yeah its your right / choice / money I know I know.

I've done this for near an hour between west gate hotan and the big stone gate. LOTS of goldfarmers there, people just can't grind here.

I warned all players, and killed a lot of bots (well, one player fell to a light bow too, sorry ^^). Most of them were back a couple mins after however...

We could assign points for each kill and have a contest to see how many bots you take out.

Best places with the highest concentration of them are: .... huyenchuns, bunwangs, shades, penons, yeti

i use the bots/gold bots as part of my thiefing strategy. If i have like 3* or more loot than i will park it by a bot or follow it around till the NPC spawn, just a little distraction trick to manage the thief spawn better, when at least 1-2 NPC will usually go for the bot first.

Olympus bots are actually quite funny. Most of them wear job suits in the cave. LOL.

Not being racist here but I think the turks have their own bot or soemthing cause they are always the only ones to attack back when I go pink. Can still make them murder that way :) ( Thank you _BadyBoy_ for your 64+5 br 18 sheild ^^ )

But its sad to see them return 5 minutes later as if nothing happend.. Gets frustrating, not that I mind a bot in the same room as me. But just dude dont ks >.>

It might be their choice/money but its a damn stupid choice and a damn stupid waste of money.

DAM...I can't even kill the one on hyeocgegons. Usually botters should be about 8 levels higher than the monster they are training. So i guess the gold botters training there is about lvl 38+++? And i am only lvl 35 T_T

And you're missing out 1 mob that's in demon horses yeah? Gold botters flourish there too

Sooner or later they will find out. Games need a way that will never fail... GM's don't even have to do the work!

It really only hurts AFK people (ie bots) because once they turn purple you get to hunt them down. Bots just let you hit them now. How is seeing a buff an unfair advantage? What would you need to hide?

Bot hunting needs to have better incentives. The greatest bot hunting frenzy was when they got murder status. I think a very easy way to solve this problem is to increase the EXP / SXP gained 100 fold. 100*5k = 500k exp...not too much (1% at 65 lol) but more worthwhile. If you die 6 times you lose way more (6x300=1.8m). But if your smart and able to survive, 500k for you! Comments please? How easily can it be implemented? Any concerns?

Currently you gain like 1 mob kill the same level as the player (5-6k max) which is pitiful...
