im back. couldn't stay away from this game for long.
im starting over. and i think im gonna farm at lvl 8? i dont know, hate farming at the stronghold. i already bought a SOM lvl 8 glavie and im gonna reset the % and things like that...
would this be a good choice? no ones ever said anything about farming at lvl 8, but i see a bunch of people running around with lvl 8 SOM swords and blades... i assume they're farming? no idea.
also, im going glavier. should i get the ice tree at all? or just stick to fire/heuksal/lightning?
thanks.
and how much do you think i should farm to last to about lvl 42 with a good glavier?
There is no one way or place to farm. Farming at 16 in the stronghold technically saves money etc cause the gear at the lvl is cheap and abundant. Same for below 16 really. Problem is at those lvls all you can do is farm and maybe cape. Though unless you cape other similar farmers you will get owned very time. So just farm. You can't job. You can't do much of anything. Unless you have unsurpassed patience etc save the low lvl farming for a 2nd char. Having a higher lvl first char can actually help finance and speed up the farming process. You don't have to farm at any specific lvl though.
16 (Bandit Archer) and 52 (Penon Fighter) are just the most popular. on my most recent char I started with a 3 lvl gap all the way to lvl 33 or so. Good SP to get all the required masteries and skills in 2 trees. Later in the 30s though the gap found itself increasing to 4 etc and the lvling slower. So at that point I switched methods and went to 0 gap till the mobs started getting comparatively harder. Since after SP to keep mastery up at 0 gap you usually only get enough to lvl a skill or two so you find yourself getting comparatively weaker. The answer is to gather curst hearts. 100 or so. And at regular intervals set up a 9 lvl gap and back fill till you feel you can go on. With this method you lvl faster and can do things other than farming. You will be weaker than a fully farmed char but you can enjoy more of the game sooner.
The only problem I can forsee farming at lvl 8. You will never be able to get a 9 lvl gap. Basically making the already slow process slower. The best place to farm is ultimatly where the mobs are dense and easy to kill. The mountain stronghold is the densest in the game which is why it is so popular. But it is by no means the only place you can.
actually i've seen some pretty danm sick farming at the ch'in tomb, there are a coup;le amazing spwns there. but i would suggest going to lvl 9. better sp, andgoing pre str, at least till then because yuo wont' have any skills or imbue. but it can deffiantly be done.

farming at the chin tomb is 'so so'. As soon as you get a decent lvl 8 bow (like +3 or sumthing) you eather have to move around alot or wait for mobs to spamn.. no matter how awsome the spawn is.
