I've been doing some research on 9th degree armor and garments
i found that if u have full 3rd tier of armor (no % on whites, no blues, no +) and are pure int
you'll have 1212 physical defense and 1734 magical defense
While with garments ( no % on whites, no blues, no +) you'll have 935 physical defense and 2248 magical defense
What I want to know from u is, is it a good idea to sacrifice mobility, 514 phy defense and mp consmption for a 277 physical defense increase
Keep in mind both sets are not blued or plussed

I don't think you've taken reinforce into account.

With garment, need 90 ice
With armor, need 90 fire
Protector, 90 fire, 90 ice for whoever wants high def but less damage

IMO, ints are nothing without snow shield. In group pvp which is the shit that actually matters, an int without snow dies or gets extremely lucky. With garms you are 20% faster and use 20% less mana, which affects mana usage from snow shield. Garm + snow should be able to tank 2-4 people depending on what build/gear. If you REALLY care about 1v1 then prot might be the best way to go if you think you can kd/iron wall until the cooldown is done.

Long story short, int without snow is paper, garms help snow shield and make you faster. Who cares about armor when you're gonna die anyway without snow? At least garms can help you run =)

I was thinking of switching to lightarmor for my rogue / cleric as I usually play cleric in parties (obviously), but then I saw how it actually looks and almost barfed. So I stuck with robe =D

....lol what? Maybe if you're hunting mobs 10 levels higher and you aren't using snow shield. What kind of pure int gets hit very often either? You one hit things your level and a few above. Not only that but pure int with S/S (you can easily make the switch for grinding) can tank without snow shield easily. Be realistic please..

Pure int chinese. And im realistic. U can only 1 hit mob if they are - 3~4 your lvl. Same lvl, no, with a simple sword +3 and npc gear.
Dont talk as if i never play sro. A giant or party mob same lvl or less than 2 lvl could easily take you town in one crit.

Well, obviously a pure int would die in npc gear without any blues, lol. You haven't stated the gear of the pure int in your post before, so don't blame Azilius.

think -> think -> think -> post. That's the order, not post -> post -> post -> think.

There is no need to think. If the thread starter didnt state that his gear is npc, it doesnt mean that his gear has blues. If his set is full sun, why bother to think about armor or garment? Both have wicked defense

Try to follow the argument as it happens. I'm no longer talking about an NPC set with a +0 sword. I'm talking about a REALISTIC situation in where a pure int is PvP'ing or grinding. Follow earlier instructions of think->think->post..

This is what u posted

In which sentence u talk about blues? What is real and what is not real?
Grinding is not real, pvp without blue or good set is not real?
