Now i am always up for some fun. I'll always be first to cape wars and what-not. Without job wars, trade runs etc. Silkroad would jsut be boring, tedious and predictable.
However today i saw this guy globalling on our server, and i just think theres a limit to how hard you can try. I thank this person for trying to brighten up my day. However thank about it, silkroad is made so that only the high levels can make any impact, and most of them will be too busy botting or too arrogant to turn up. There will inevitably be the odd 2/3 80+ but why not just go to Donwhang South? Its nothing special.
Thank you very much for trying to put a twist in the daily grind on Poseidon, but next time; save your time and money and go hunt uniques.
What i want to know is, does this happen on your server? If so, would you go?
Surprisingly there was not a bad turnout from the germans. I think there were about 50Germans there Up against 3 turks
Really was a bit of a waste of time but it has opened my eyes a little more to things like this. There was a huge range of levels from 30-90, and it actually worked out not bad with the levels each sticking to different areas to avoid low level killing. However some people had to ruin it by turning up with Orange capes and killing EVERYONE.
You can have a brilliant server.. And 1 or two people have to be jerks and ruin the fun
so the 2 main countries would be Egypt and Turkey am I right? o_O
Yeah, was my mistake. Or it's just that Germans know where to get thinks and other don't, lol. Anyway, not accusing anyone from here being a boter just because you're from some nation. That was never my 'aim'.

I think user-run server events can be fun. I had a friend on Venice back in early 2007 or so that ran a few events. She announced them via globals like the guy in the screenshots above did.
One event was a lvl 30 horse race from Jangan to Hotan (before euro came out). Everyone started at Jangan south gate, regardless of level, riding a lvl 30 horse. Rules stated that once your horse died, you could not summon another one. You were out of the race. She had a set of elixirs of each kind, some gold, and maybe a few other items for the winner. Second and third places also got smaller gifts.
After a few rounds of that, she sent out "hide and seek" globals saying that she was "somewhere" on the map and whoever found her first won some items. She globaled the occasional hint too.
Then after the union split up, she moved to another server and botted to 80.

yea my friend on alexander played hide and seek globals and i found him at the taoists riding a silk tiger... i won a lvl 80 wolf... this was at 80 cap xD so i was happy
Trying too hard? Sorry for that guy getting "flamed" by you because he's creative and actually wants to do something to make Silkroad Online fun, since most people are AFK or spawn raping lower levels.
