Well, according to the in game guide on sro, it says that getting better/rare items is all based on luck, and the the mob etc. you are grinding at/with.

So does buying silk increase your "luck" of getting an sos? It seems almost as though all my friends who have silk items get alot more seal drops than I do... and I have gotten none.

Then what constititutes the "luck" of getting a rare drop? How is it that my friends that purchase silk always happen to be in the right place at the exact time , for an sos? When I hardly even get tablets/elixirs?
How is it that my luck hasnt changed all the time I've been on sro? Would my luck change if I started playing on a new character? new account? new computer? or would it change the moment I start buying silk?

The "luck" on sro is all based on 2 things "1" and "0", your char is a mix of 1 and 0, your items are a mix of 1 and 0. Your mobs and skillz are all mixes of 1 and 0.

In order to get a SoX drop, The SoX drop 1 and 0 has to correspond with your chars 1 and 0 and the mob that "drops" it's 1 and 0. So yes its all luck

Have you got any real evidence of that...unless you are talking of binary...

I've spent ~$1000 on the game... Haven't found a single sos. If that doesn't answer your question, nothing will.

Man, Dont feel bad about not getting any drops. I would have rather not had any, than what happened in the past 2 weeks.
Right at the intersection outside of hotan at the small bunwangs. I crit a small bunwang, bam one hit kill. While I celebrated..lol, ya Im a dork, I didnt have my monkey out, a high lvl npc thief kills me. I know my fault for not paying attention. But there laying on the ground. My SOS Moon Glavie. this past week, also grinding on bunwangs, had a giant b all to myself, and here comes some high lvl idiot who kses me and bam... SOS Spear. So ya, Id rather of not even seen/had those drops.lol :banghead:

Demarthl once speculated that each character, piece of gear, etc had a hidden "luck" stat. that's why some people drop SoX's like candy and some items never EVER go to +3, etc. i used to poo-poo the idea, but the more i think about it, the more i feel it may be plausible.

By the way did anyone notice on the "Future releases" thread that the image of the Pang Lottery has like 5 SOS/SOM/SOSUN items ?

If one Pang costs as much as 1-day gold ticket (it does on kSRO) and there is 8th degree sos in there +_+

Im gonna save up for 500k silk.

a friend of mine got a 64 SoS legs from a yeti lvl 59. SoX items can drop in a HUGE range of lvls. i know of several 5X who have gotten 64+ SoX items.

...? flames? i see no flames. skepticism, perhaps, but that's logical, seeing as how most people don't know that SoS can drop from mobs much higher/lower than the item. relax :)
