"anti_boting" on forum doesn t really seem to be allowed.

Actually i got my sig removed which had a link and a screenshots of 2 well known botters. and anti_botters threads get locked. also considering that morningdew read forums, putting botters proof in sig can be helpful for MD.

Flaming botters, having botters sig isn't allowed by SRF rules ? Botters deserve to be punished.

Since when are the rules made to protect botters... NEVER ?

but srf rules PROTECT botters even if it s NOT intentional it DOES it.

so i m asking a modification :
- like a special section reserved to flame or/and bots
- or/and to remove or to modify this rule " do not flame or personnally attack others " because "others" mean everyone.
- or osmething else i dunno.

the current rules actually reduce the freedom of speaking and protect botters those are major inconvenients.

of course i m not posting that to flame admins or mods, but to "help" i just say it because i think that talking about forums incovenients is important for every forum, in this case SRF.

flaming others isn't allowed and your idea isn't going to happen.

there is no freedom of speech here, this is a privately owned board.

Edit I'll add that all of the mods and admins are against botting.

What you are not seeing here, is the reason behind the rules.

We don't want the drama. None of it.

Don't want people comming here posting pics, links, vids of "zomg this person bots" and starting a huge flame thread thats gonna get locked anyway. Then people will want others banned over a screenshot. And I'll be damned if I have any business 'finding the truth' or 'proving who bots'.

I could care less nor do I have the time.

Save the drama, for yo mama. Not the forums.

If someone posts something pro-bot, or anti-legit, let us know. We'll ban / warn accordingly.

Look. Hydrate just made a thread specifically to bash someone.

Perfect example of the bullshit we don't want here.

Now it gonna get locked. And he'll kick and scream as usual.

Just to add to hellsharpt's point.

When we lock a topic, it is not because we want to "protect you" from the truth of SRO, its not like we think, "Out of Sight, Out of Mind." We lock topics related to BOTs.. because they bring a lot of flames and problems to the forums, people tend to go over board in those topics... It's either we lock it before it escalades or we can lock it after all the flaming and accusations have occured.

Also, sometimes its the number of threads posted about the same thing.

N yes, having one thread about something actually is enough most of the time, when you start making constant threads about the same problem, then other, important things can get lost. People can get annoyed, logging onto the forums and viewing the first ~ 10-20 posts about the same problem. The GMs know its going on, they dont need this "constant remiding"... It's not like they are ignoring us... Even thought the majority of you find this hard to believe...

Tis all :)

I always thought this forum was an anti-bot community. Either I was wrong or its just going to the dogs.

Recently, we banned a list of about 15 users for pro-bot bullshit. And we continue to ban people just the same.

Those who don't clean up their act and take the carrot, get the stick instead.

We are fighting the good fight.
