Can you actually delevel masteries with that quest or do you need the potions from item mall?
I have a bow/glaiver myself too, though only for fun.
Some times I let my wolf tank while I shoot monsters, My bow damage is weaker than the wolf so the monsters don't attack me unless I use a bow skill and get them agro, by which time they're usually dead anyway.
