im using fraps and got crap fps. ny1 how i can enhance it?

dont record sounds, lower your in game video settings, close background programs and the fps when recording is a lot lower than the actually fps of the video usually

yea.. its not in game fps its video fps

with camtasia i got 1fps! or sumtimes 2 :S ^^
fraps works a treat. what does every1 else use?

any one of those game camera things are going to lower the fps by a lot but most people use fraps or gamecam

or do you mean it ran smoothly while recording but when you are watching the video the video fps is low if it is that the video fps is low try changing the file type first using virtualdub,windows movie maker, sony vegas, etc...

what file type is best? what sould i use for like.... hosting onto youtube or something?

i have windows movie maker btw

just put it in windows movie maker go to file save movie file then click next until its done saving and it will be wmv which works good for youtube considering no matter what file type you use its going to kill the video quality

u have a clue why my resalution is about 1/2 size?

you have fraps set to up to record half size videos and i think that will make the video very low quality when it is youtube but you can try
