fire shield bugged?

so after the euro patch it was supposed make it impossible to use it without a shield... but you can still use it without a shield :cry:

is it just me?

It's gay! lol, i'm just getting rid of my ice ._. I figure even without fire shield its strill screwed from clerics buffs, andd I got good enouigh stopping skills with bows now I guess >.<.
