I think we should have a pvp client where everyone can pvp each other in an arena from different server.

Nice idea.
Meeting new players that we wouldnt normally see would be cool.

yeah awsoem idea, they have that in wow. its called battlegrounds, but you can fight anyone from any other server(as long as they are in your battlegroup).... too bad it will never happen for sro lol.

take out sun's and good idea. make it skill based not gear based

for me its 9 dragons and runescape that come to mind, oh and xiah

if everyones gotta use the same gear, hell yeah, im with you. but i dont feel like getting farked by sun noobs from other servers, troys enuff for me.

Not possible because 2 players on 2 different servers can have the same name... ;o

the players can have the servername infront of theyr name when they enter this place...

I think instead of a new client there should just be like a certain part of the map lol, something like, iuno uhh exile area? outlaws? lol something like that but in it is free pvp, like capes but you cant just get back up, but in the place are mobs which give higher exp then normal lol.

when u enter the pvp server u will make a copy of one of ur charater from one of ur server's.

Think the whole purpose to the idea was people from different servers having the ability to fight each other, rather than the same old faces day in, day out.

...and you get access to npc gear, with a limited amount of alch material. So luck in this case can play a major factor would be funny if you had to pvp with no chest piece cause you destroyed it in alchemy xD. Anyway, now you got me all excited for something that would probably not see the light of day.

ya that would be sweet, the idea of a charector you have maybe, but why not you go in and you have limited amount of sp and gear setup to choose from, so every one is on even ground and build how you ever you like, it'd be fair, and fun to test out the builds, and would be all skill, some luck involved as always,

ehe dw south gate blows. Its laggy and theres safe zones. Can't stand someone who attacts me then runs into the safe zone....

I think yarkans arena is the perfect place for pvping, no noobs can make it there to set up stalls and shit, no mobs in the arena, and it will be fun when yarkan spawns there. Too bad everyones too lazy to go there.

The same is with mySQL & PHP (probaly they use SQL databases). first you have to select a database, for example Sparta, then you can execute a query like something this (SELECT * FROM `players` WHERE `id` = 1337 or `name` = 'Nixie'). This will load the first player. BUT if you want to load a player from an another server you have to open a connection to the other database, for example Babel, but then you'll cancel the Sparta connection. I hope that you understand the problem now. Surely there might be a way to get this done, but I believe JoyMax isn't going to program like 3 months for "just" a PvP area. I'd like to have it too, but with our JoyMax it won't and couldn't happen. :/

I can tell you that I'm preety sure about this as an (over?) average PHP, mySQL, HTML, JavaScript, XML blah blah blah... scripter. But as I said, I could be wrong.

altho in wow they dont alow you to have the same name as another person on your battlegroup, same sever or not.

And how can other games have it? They though up of that before they started the game and the structure of the database is fitted to that. If JoyMax would try to update the database for this propose, it would mess up a lot (item loss etc...).

Also, it is possible to select a server's base and then call an another, but that will lag the PVP server more than if all the servers were crowded. Atleast from my testings the delay of loading data from different databases and then from the same is 100 times slower. So, around 100 PvPers and you won't be able to play on the PvP server anymore.

And yes, I would like to see it, but it would f*** up the game too much.

maybe there should be level restrictions like 20-40 40-60 and 60-80, so our 80 full sosun friends cannot kick the low's asses
