I have added 24 str (8 levels) to my s/s, I have roughly 9.7k hp (with lvl 30 heuksal passive), My girlfriend has exactly the same build except full int and 8.6k hp (with lvl 30 heuksal passive), yes we both don't have the best gear, average gear. Both swords are +5, my gf nukes me for 2k more than I do to her, she also hit's harder with lightning chain. So in the end, I don't think being hybrid is worth the extra hp and lower dmg.
