Ok i had a 57 rogue which i quit and made a s/s nuker hybrid. im now lvl 33 but im starting to think about going back on my rogue cleric...

I think the only reason i quit it is because i dont like the fact i dont have the speed buff.

This will not be a masive issue when jobbing etc later on???/

I cannot buy speed scrolls over and over.

1) what do you rogues and other classes do about lack of speed??? when a chinese is chasing you your DEAD ?? no?

2) do you think i should quit my hybris s/s nuker for my rogue cleric? or carry on with it

thanks

It's a rogue skill (dagger line, last line) which increases your speed for 15 or 20 secs by an enormous amount...like 120% at 80. It's only 15-20 secs but it's nice for a getaway.

Most euro's I see either get a bard in the pt, or they buy/use speed scrolls (either the grocery ones, or the scrolls from events.)

Solo is Chinese, but since you're a rogue/cleric, it wouldn't be that hard to solo. Make sure you have your xbow skills maxed, and you should overcome the speed problem since you dont have to walk up to a mob.

true but my issue isnt with soloing. Its with jobbing and all the stuff making the game fun at higher lvls.

How to chase another char or run away from one with only 20 seconde buff??

Then buy pots when you job. 90k for a half our of 50% speed, but you should get the new speed scrolls (from the ctf and earlier) they give 50% for an hour and they'll probably be cheaper too.

Frankly as a hunter you should hide in stealth, and slowly track the horse of the thief. You have a natural moving passive which always helps. When he is re buffing ( you can keep up his horse and ussually hes not far behind ) you strike, kill in 1 shot and scud away from battle while you can. Thus speed isn't needed that much.

Also your a rogue, make some kouruko masks for jobbing when you need some speed. They last long enough for good running and can even be used in battle.

Not to mention that you shouldn't try soloing much as a rogue anyway, euros are meant for team play..utilize that.

hmm so i guess being a rouge means you need to play with totally differnet methods and intentions.

your right about the stealth when theiving. But what if there are 2 traders or 3? jump one then what. get pawned lol

Seems like they need backup alot. as you say Euro chars should work in groups.

I prefer soloing so i might carry on with the S/S nuker.

thanks for the input people

Make a bard sub and use it to buff speed on yourself.
Noise will make grinding easier.

honestly, im a lvl 70 rogue sub cleric. When grinding, my xbows range is so far, that i can hit anything with barely moving myself. If theres a far mob, i use my long shot to lure it.

As for jobbing, im a trader so speed is fine, but i also used to theif.

Make konkoru* masks, you can stealth, sue the mask, and re-stealth, and you move faster than anyone else in the game pretty much, you can go run around and pwn anyone, its great. I just pvp in Samarkand, and make masks then.

speed isnt a prob for me

edit: so a chinese is chasing you... Switch to cleric, when in cleric, i can have multiple people the same lvl attacking me, and i can fend them all off, even with out the bless skill, but i don't hesitate to use bless lol, i do it in CTF all teh time, when in cleric mode, i don't die....

GO BACK TO YOUR ROGUE , :P its lvl 57 already also lol, almost at 8th degree, and all 8th degree stuff is cheap now

I'd say you can go bard instead of cleric... You will solo well on mobs 11 lvls higher than you.. just don't be a fool lol..

Oh btw, if you're starting a new char, why not move to venus??? :P

Nukers my level or 2 levels above I one hit with Distance shot. Then glaviers I have to distance shot, knockdown, knockback and then they are usually done. Bladers I usually ignore. :x

And then all euro builds are pretty easy except a warrior with his skins.

I say play your rogue :P

I say go with rogue. I dont really have that problem now, since I went rogue/bard, so I have some speed now. However, a rogue is not meant to run around and kill. If you have amazing gear, and can pvp like that person after person, great. But stealth is a great tool, and should be used. Also, I know this wont help when grinding, but Kokuru masks? If you need a get away, you can just activate it, even when under attack. What I used to do when hunting uniques.

Chinese wouldn't be able to catch a Warrior/Wizard in Garms with 100% moving speed scroll. Actually the Warrior would outrun the chinese, XD. Then mow that hoe down with a Double Dare-Devil Crit while KDed.

You have a dilemma, I can help.

For the Attacking mutiple targets part: Use your Xbow to kill 2 out of 3, then cast bless DD and prick/combo blow, mortal wounds, and/or butterfly blow that hoe. 8) Rogue is a hit and run type of build.

Yep, and you need to do that. Even a Rogue/Cleric cant take 3-4 people at once. It has to fit your playing style. Also, may I add one thing. Bard and cleric have skills that cause bind skill, making them immobilized. Why not abuse them?? Maybe even give you enough time to go stealth and reverse who's chasing who?

If you can't outrun your enemy, then stop trying to. Instead try immobilizing them. All Euro masteries have some sort of binding skill- use them!

Bard- Bind
Cleric- Bind
Warlock- Stun, Sleep
Wizard- KB, Bind
Warrior- Sprint Assault (It has a % probability of Stun, or gives them Dull, which slows them down)
Rogue- KB, KD

I might be missing some, but that's all I can think of right now. Try to stop the enemy so that they are not able to catch you. Granted, you risk being killed in the process, but that just makes more exciting. =)

But personally I had 100% speed potion on practically all the time. That probably explains why I'm broke. :l

+1

you can switch to cleric throw up bless then heavens glare. to bind them. if that fails, switch back to dagger, scud super far, switch to xbow, kd + kb.

Wait, so its possible to activate a monster mask, and then go invisible. If so, that would be a lot of fun to scare people with lol.

Speed and a build without bard sub = Big turnoff once you experience it.

It was all good when my warrior was hunter and had plenty of bards in my job party. Once I switched to thief thats when it started getting hard.. always trying to spare 100% speed drugs.. makes it really hard to job.

rogue/cleric sucks for one big reason unless the party is retarded they dont need you in a grind party soo who ever said euros shouldnt solo and party grind more is stupid

though rogue/bard can easily keep a partys mp up, with noise grind on mobs 10 levels ahead of your self and even grind on magic mobs which die easier to physical attacks with noise eg: mages at level 70
