I play like crazy everyday to max 90 my 1st char and he doesn't get any shiny stuff all all. But when I create new char, just start to play it on 2 days and I get 2 SOS drop within 10 hours with same mob, same spot. Is this crazy?

It's totally random, but how fast you kill things plays a big factor as well.

No one is killing monsters in the european side. So you get a higher chance on sox drops. Chinese side.. gold bots get them all.

i get a lot more drop rates with my wiz char then my nuker char.

Everyone will say it doesn't because they can't prove it but something like this wouldn't be in the pk2 files it would be in the server. I think its true since I have a lvl 81 character that has only had 1 sos drop in its entire existance and a low lvl archer that got 2 sos drops in one day and another the next day, also I made a character on venus and the 3rd manyang gave me an sos drop.....

No, it isn't true. The monsters are generated with random gold and item drops. You kill it you get that drop. People just get lucky and kill that mob created with sun a couple times.

This happened to me on Venus, i created a char on there and messed it up accidently at lv 6 and whilst leveling up to that i hardly got any drops at all. (No weps, pot's, not even very many alchemy materials dropping either)

However, when i created a new char and played that up to level 6, i got way more drops, at least 2x the drop rate of the first character.

+You know what it's like on Venus, lot's of new players even for Euro's so there were lot's of players to scoop up drops. (Something that someone touched on further up, no quote. ^^)

lol that was the first thing i noticed too.

shit same thing for me my character ive never gotten a single sos drop on it until lvl 70, but then on about 3-4 new characters ive made ive gotten sos on all of them before lvl 20.

my first sos was on euro side too right after it came out

no at low lvl sos esaier to drop, i got sos once a day for 7 days, after the 7th day i got plvled lol.

there is a % of luck when a char is made this luck applys to +ing sox drops and using stones.

thats why one char may be lost of sox and be bad at +ing and a 2ed char my get no sox and be great at +ing

also the lower the lvl the better the chance of a sox drop due to the higher drop rate on lower lvl mobs.

It was my 1st for very very long time since the last one (2 years something) SO I wanted to compared with normal drop ( I notice normal EU drop box is as shiny as SOX box) then I just dropped it and a normal one to see what different. Of course, no one else was there to steal mine lolz

Just as firefox said there is a certain probability that one character may have better luck with drops than another. Just how there are certain characters that have great luck with alchemy. Nothing is random.

it's probably the same amount of drops, just less people getting the drops in europe. more people are getting more "pieces of pie" in europe than china b/c of goldbots and shit.

The luck is in the items, the drops are in the monsters. You're right not random, but you're wrong that is isn't in the character. I don't have proof, but the game doesn't go "This person has killed x many monsters and needs a x many drops!" It's generated in the monster's spawns.

What I mean is characters have a certain luck ratio when made. You see it all the time. Certain people can plus the hell out of items while others cant. And certain people get the most sox drops.

thats not true, since my 81 character kills mobs the same lvl in 1 hit and my archer takes 3-4 skills but gets more sos

Please direct me to the official link that proves your statement. I know of no game where the drops are generated at the moment the mob is spawned, but perhaps there is a case here? Most games the drop is generated from a table of probability the moment the mob dies.

I await confirmation anxiously. Perhaps it is just your theory.

Are they both lvl81 or just the /s/ is lvl81?
I hope you know as you go up the droprate is lowering.
Compare lvl81 bower with lvl81 s/s nuker same skill lvl

the archer is lvl 24 but you know my s/s nuker was 24 at one point too and now its 81 with 1 sos drop but the archer is 24 and has had 3

I had a way lot more drops.
d5 som bow, 3 d4 som gloves, d5 sos spear (on lvl21 mobs!!!!!), d5 sos garm chest and legs (from 1 fakin devil flower, it was like O.o WTF)
A d4 sos armor foot.
That time i had no job, so all what i did was griding my ass off.
All what i can say in this discussion is kps. Coz there are times when sox drops. All what you need is to catch one of those moments and then it rly matters how fast are you killing mobs.
Or not.
