omfg. i just realized that all the scammers that i've met before ALL use all caps. this includes some screenshots that others have posted

they usually say stuff like TRADE and COME TO STORAGE without any emotion

i suggest to everyone that before you begin an exchange, you tell the other person that you are recording a video of the transaction to report them if they try to scam you. you can always notice a time in which they don't reply. their "thinking" time
lol but that always worked for me

so basically watch out for people who use all CAPS :P

I've read from others of this trick so i didnt fall for it. He just ran away after realizing he failed :banghead:

i feel sorry for all the people he might have scammed before. despicable people..

Would it help if you had them set up a stall? The price-change problem wouldnt exist, but would this cause other problems?

That's actualy not a scam. LOL That is getting his guild members to donate for guild leveling. That is why it says guild members only. See then they know EXACTLY who paid cause there is a list. and all the money goes on an alt so its not in someone's "personal" storage.

maybe so but still some newbie could buy it :P and if he did really need the members to donate he should/would have ask then directly and take note of who paid and who not instead of just putting at character making more lag with this stall don't you think so?

Seksygirl tried to cheat me yesterday with the "I change the amount at the last moment" trick during an exchange.
Just after, I've seen someone else "p0w3r" sending a warning on the same SeksyGirl on chat. I pm'ed him and apparently he lost a SOS 32+3 blade with the bloody scammer.

I asked my boss of guild to Global chat a warning, which he does immediately and he received threats from Seksygirl (like "tomorrow your account will be zero"...) - he screenshoted all dialogs to have proofs

Does anyone know how to report this to Joymax so that they can intervene ?

Thanks,

As I said above. If you are selling something, you should agree to the price and sell it through a stall to avoid the $$ change scam... Simple fix unless I am missing something. Unless you are trading items, I do not understand why you would use the exchange action to sell something.

I have not been scammed in this way, because I insist that the stall be used. Therefore he cannot edit before you buy.

DAAAmn....i have been scammed, i feel such an idiot.
I dont think it well help anyone adding some allready-known information, but....I never bothered with SR-problems like scammers, never been scammed before though.

I bought a lv 32 s0s +2 sword for 4.5 mille. Some guy named: M3rC3n4RI_IL approaches me for buying the sword ( daaamn, i should at least have suspected anything with a stupid name like THAT!)
He offered me 8 Mille for the sword..and I, as greedy as i was AGREED.
During the exchange i counted the zero's, it were definetly as much as it should be...and just before the approval he CHANGED the amount.

I was just to greedy to take my time to reconsider everything..to overthink and examine everything, to re-count the zero's. After the approval the bastard made a little joke about the low crit..and then dissappeared.

I have never felt myself soo stupid, dumb, idiot-like afterwards. I spend a few global chats to warn people..but it wont help much. Only reactions like: stupiiid!, only dumb people get scammed. Well, guess they're right about one thing...greediness without thinking is stupidity.

I also had some reactions that the guy/gay had scammed some other people too. It isnt his real account actually..just scams people, and ( those are my own conclusions) passes his loot to his own account by proxy. It's even possible that he scams people with different accounts..
or 'they scam' ( some gay-scam-group) all-together. We'll never know...

AT least.., i just want to warn people again not to make the same mistake as i did ( guess not..no-one as stupid as me, DANG! DANG! :banghead: ) The name of the scammer wont be of help too i guess, if it really isnt his account. But, if someone with a silly name approaches you..be super-cautious. Those stupid names are made to forget easily...( i wrote it down immediatly).

Well, everyone..enjoy Silkroad! I don't...and i quit for a while. My Joy is ruined by this scammer. If i'm ingame, it's only for the chats..got bored with the grinding part :(

Oh yeah...forgot to say
The gay changed the amount from 8.000.000 to 800.000
Both are a lot of zero's ^^.

so...with the item i lost and the money spent on the item i feel quite miserable. 4.5 mille - 0.8 mille = a loss of 3.7 mille + a loss of a valuable item.

i think the reason that they post in all-caps is to get you to think that they are in a hurry. So u feel sympathetic and try to hurry through everything to help them.

lol dunno just a guess :?

scammers are assfagots

try to memorize the names... those names are designed to be hard to remember in case they are actually reported.
eg. UCanTb3Me
How long would it take you to remember that off by heart, and without writing it down? it's possible, sure. but it's hard.

and by the way, most scammers have other characters, like ones that they dont scam on.
like they may have a lvl 30 character
but they may only scam on something like a level one character.

and i've confused myself :banghead:

This guy self-admited to botting 1-62. Tards like that should be banned forever.

A) Botting 1-62.
B) Being utterly stupid to admiting to that.
C) Stall scamming.

So.. whats the game about for this guy ? If he likes AFK games then go play Footbal manager or something.

Anyway, is there ANYONE who made it to like 50-70 the legit way ?
The more I see, the more I think all high lvls are botters, there is just no way around it. The funniest thig was when after 2-3 weeks of Venice opening ppl were already klling Uruchi..
