hi all, I played silk since 2005, but only now i am here in forun to particped community

1 post and I <3 you already.

the question was raised in vent as to whether or not i am going to ban people who have spoken out in this thread, admitted things, etc.

i couldn't possibly, in good conscience, ban people for saying their peace after KJ opened the floor for an open, honest discussion. so talk away.

I have always said I would make a terrible mod. I say it because I believe a Mod should be held to a standard that far exceeds that of a member. I have been here too long to do that, being too involved in the community, too well known, ect. The Mods that are here should be cognizant of that standard and act accordingly. To say they are only human and brush sometimes blatant offenses under the carpet in the name of "consolidated leadership" does a disservice to the rest of us. Any subversive or critical statements are regarded as an attack and are quickly stomped upon with a warning that any further argument in either public or PM would target you for possible banning. Do it again and you will be told that you have been "discussed". I can right now tell DJ to STFU NOOB and that will pass without notice. Point out something obvious to a mod in either public or PM, somehow the word "Duh" can be turned into a personal attack, and get your face ripped off.

Of course the unwashed masses of SRF are rude, obnoxious and stupid... The Moderators shouldnt be.

Most of SRF's mods do not fall under the above statement, some do. This forum reminds of high school sometimes (shudder) with it's silly cliques and clannish factions warring for attention.

Ill add something positive to my rant. I never did thank StealMySoda for his generous offer. I was so busy that it completely slipped my mind. You are a good guy and a good mod. I have seen you struggle with your own impartiality and I respect that. I get a sense of your personal opinion regarding certain members of this forum, yet I have never noticed you target them over someone else. I do not think you are stupid and coming from me, that is like the equivalent of a medal of honor.

how on earth did your mod invite (which is blowing my mind) fit into anything in this thread.....

I don't think you have too much to worry about.

I guess it should be encouraging to know that when the doors were flung open to air any and every complaint about the mods, without fear of repercussion, all you heard was "Blackfox and D2A are teh suxxorz." I would take that as an overwhelming vote of confidence.

I read pages 1-4, then skipped to page 9, and read that and this page. Personally, I think the problem crops up whenever sui seems to disappear. Then he comes back, cracks down, and everyone is afraid to breathe, and little happens. I honestly don't know what kind of srf I want anymore. There's times when I enjoy bashing down the idiots. Then there's times when I think half the forum should be banned for over doing the flaming. Meh, old srf ftw. Half of these new people act like they're the shit, when they weren't around near the beginning. They don't know the real history of the forums.

i started off with this thread humorously, after a couple drinks, figured it was time to tell people who i was, see if i was to get banned after being here since start of july, making useful posts and then pointing out im a banned member.

i suppose i shouldn't have been listening to cannibal corpse at the time, and my mood swung like the wind changes, i went off on one of my reknowned psycho-rants.

so lets see...

we found spiritpower botting, Ryoko himself, saw with his own eyes in the caves, sure he's never admitted it so he cant be banned against the lax rules here. but we KNOW he does/did, why should we allow that? theres ignoring the fact some people here are botters, they dont say anything about it, they never bring it up they dont even react when people shout it out, i myself couldnt point them out, then theres spiritpower, the entire forum had proof, went to see him out there, a massive thread, biggest one to exist, half of the posts were his own! denying it... though how he managed to post so much while he was still grinding bewilders me. sure, he makes Ryoko laugh, he makesm e laugh sometimes, through his supreme idiocy, but he flames as bad as any of us, out right attacks some people, starts going around calling people weasels and shit, better people have been banned for less.

I'v not played it, I just don't like the look of it, nor can i afford to play it, i don't run around swinging my e-penis like a whip, smacking people into submission about WoW stuff. i just dont like it. I concur with Ryoko going off on how people bitch about it all the time, it is annoying.

my thread started off as a useles peice of entertainment for me, then i went and flamed, you can hate me for that, send me hate mail, happy for you to get it off your shoulders.

i caught the mods eye with this, they're intrigued and now want to know what needs fixing.

so instead of bitching about who stole whos cookie, point out what needs fixing.

that was the ownfall of Demarthl, a rather stupid thing to get banned for, honestly, in the end, i WAS right, even if i didnt put it acrossi n theb est way, but i never had.

but what agitates me about it? the mods didnt just lock the topic, say the final words and put the coffin in the grave like they should do, have done with others.

they decided to jump on it, stamp even, get a few kicks in, knowing i could never reply.

i'll sound like a hypocrit again but seriosuly "go play pirate elsewhere" if that isnt a personal attack, a kick in the nuts of a dying patient, what is?

it went unnoticed, uncared for, because it's a damn mod.

you probably dont remember when i mod'd, but i acted completely different, to a member, this is a playground, so i played.
to a mod, this is work, so i worked. i had a zero tolerance going on, the rules were taught, so stiff they'd cut you like cheesewire, i hadn't stepped over the rules myself while enforcing them, i do it enough when im not.

the thing is, if you're going to enforce rules, you're the first person who should obey them, as a mod you are an example to the members, and they were setting a great example by stamping down on me like that, right?
